Wonderful place. Inside, the Scandinavian decor is very pretty, and there's everything you need for cooking. The outdoor hot tub can be adjusted to your desired temperature. Lost in the middle of nowhere, it feels so good there.
We also experienced stunning auroras both nights.

The house has everything you might need - a fully equipped kitchen, toiletries, extra towels, slippers, etc. It looks even better than the photos! The hosts are the sweetest people, made us feel so welcome ❤️ The sauna, jacuzzi and game room are all just amazing; beds so comfortable, very clean throughout. I can’t say enough nice things about this place !!!
Perfect for families, groups or couples who enjoy luxury and independence while travelling. Enjoy the space and privacy of these fully-furnished, self-standing mansions — travellers can cook, lounge and explore at their leisure. Note that in Bali, a resort will also be called a villa.
Hotel Húsafell exceeded our expectations. The serene and secluded location created a peaceful retreat. The well-crafted breakfast and the exceptional fine dining experience at the on-site restaurant added a great touch to our stay. We also got the chance to experience the Northern lights even though it was cloudy so appreciated the wake up call. The overall ambiance and service make this hotel a standout choice for Iceland.
The host is Fantastic, serving us dinner and breakfast, although the food was not luxury, it was the most delicious food I ever had. He shared with us his stories, culture of Iceland, he even tell us when’s the northern lights came out. I am so happy that I stayed there. Thank you very much, Sæmi!!
Also, Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Exceptional, 10/10!!
Very locations with view 360 degrees around the house in the valley/hills. There are several walks signposted. We did a nice one around the village, one through a valley up to a small hot spring, and one into a valley very near by.
The questhouse has got a lot of charm as a former farm, and is nicely painted in warm colours.
The host really enjoyed to have quests, and favoured them with warm homemade waffles, and a very good soup in the evening. We have breakfast together with the other guests, which was nice; breakfast was good.
