Lovely quiet location in the country with lovely view. Coffee machine and supplies. Very picturesque cottage with large deck. Was just too windy to sit on it! Bed was very comfortable. Owners responded very promptly during booking and with entry instructions. Would definitely stay again.

The house is very light and spacious with a big kitchen and dining area. The sauna is a lovely treat and location to Reykjavik is great. All bedrooms were large and comfortable. Great for a family or group. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We simply felt welcome. As if we knew the owner, Erla, and she left the house for a while so that we could move in for our stay. The house was absolutely clean, nicely decorated, cosy, with comfortable beds, stylish furniture and generously equiped kitchen. It also has a terrace with a grill. The grocery shop is just a kilometer or so away, there is plenty room to park your car(s) in front of the house. We enjoyed our stay to the max.

We really enjoyed our stay at Downtown Baldursbra Holiday Home. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the bus terminal and city center. The kitchen was super nice and we could prepare light meals during our stay. One very nice surprise was the hot tub in the garden, which we only discovered on our last day! I highly recommend this place!

It actually looked nice and cosy from the outside. Several cottages spread around the place on the foot of Akrafjall. Went inside, and it quickly comes to our attention that the cottage has a bad smell. The cabinets were all dirty on the fronts, and old food remnants in the trash drawer. The bed was not made, and some old earplugs were left in the upper bunkbed. The noisy ventilator in the bathroom was very dirty. The fire blanket was missing, and only an empty pouch were there. The refrigerator was very noisy as well, and my wife slept badly, from both the noise and the smell. Overall this is really not recommendable.

Great hot tub with views of the aurora borealis. Well equipped for self catering including useful things like oil, vinegar, salt & pepper, herbs and more that you certainly don’t usually get in UK. Was very well heated (possibly too hot!)
