A recently renovated villa located in Stykkishólmur, Hrossholt features a garden. This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi.

We were a family of 9, 5 adults, 3 teenagers and a child seeing in the New Year in Iceland. Hrossholt is a fantastic property in a fairly remote location, but the views are spectacular. The house itself inside is very roomy and modern, as well as very warm with underfloor heating throughout. The kitchen is very well equipped with every facility you might need and the two bathrooms with their walk in showers, always had hot water with plenty of clean towels. The five bedrooms were spacious, the beds were comfy and there was sufficient hanging and cupboard space for clothes. Outside, the large hot tub proved to be a focal point most evenings and with no light pollution we saw in 2025 with an amazing display from the Aurora. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home if you want an escape in a snowy paradise.

This is a perfect location for viewing the northern lights, and we were thrilled to see the aurora here! The cabin was spotlessly clean and provided us with a wonderfully comfortable stay.

Providing barbecue facilities, Tanginn provides accommodation in Stykkishólmur. Featuring a minimarket, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.

Lovely house and decor. Very comfy beds, we slept in the attic which was cosy. Nice touches were appreciated 👏 including the hand-knitted house slippers, telescope and binoculars. Beautiful painting of the house in the '80s before the new harbour was built.

This is a hotel full of character, in a lovely small fishing village. We very much enjoyed our one night stay in the village but we were glad we were only one night in the hotel. Our room was clean and tidy. We were greeted in a very friendly way too and the staff were very helpful.

The place was in the middle of the cozy village. Guys who look after it were very helpful and even when I struggled with the electronic door lock in the middle of the night - everything was solved in a most efficiant way.

Cozy place, well heated, very nice view, very quiet, nicely furnished, comfy beds, only a few km from the next village, where we got nice breakfast at the bakery and had delicious dinners at both restaurants.

Nice people, unsophisticated place but clean and reasonably dear for icelandic prices. Breakfast OK, not in the wow! line but... but nothing, why should anyone pretend a five stars service in a small village in Iceland? Coffee is very good, anyway. All in all a quiet and nice place.

We loved the atmosphere, it was cozy but chic. The smallest details like the handmade cups and organic icelandic soaps made it feel luxurious but homey. The staff were absolutely amazing, they went out of their way to make our stay so special and memorable. Krzysztof the night guard was super helpful and nice as well as the woman (sadly didn’t get her name) who served breakfast and was a great host during the day. It was so cozy and nice that we loved hanging out in the bar area with a cup of tea and playing scrabble.

Very nice cottages on a shore of a calm and picturesque lake. We were 2 adults and 2 children and the cottage met our needs. The kitchen was well equipped, bathroom provided all necessary toiletry, comfi beds and sofa where our children slept. The view if wonderful and the cottages are few minutes drive from a village where you can find grocery stores, bakery and very good restaurants. I can recommend this cottage!
