Extremely welcoming. The kitchen was closed on a Sunday evening, but it didn’t stop them cooking us a fabulous roast - with perfectly crunchy vegetables (very rare).
The staff were all so welcoming and friendly

Comfortable bed in a pleasant first floor room overlooking garden and meadow land at rear of house. There was a small en-suite shower room. Downstairs there was a sitting room with lots of books and a breakfast room. A self service honesty box drinks, snacks and sundry goods area was located in the spacious hallway. Fresh milk (free) in a jug was kept in the drinks fridge if you needed it. Additional supplies of teabags, coffee and sugar and mini milk pots were also available. Plenty of on-site parking. Located on edge of Avebury village but not advisable to walk into village along busy road with no pavement.
Breakfast was partially self service ( cereals, fresh fruit, juices, yoghurt, jams, croissants ) with freshly cooked full English breakfast served to the table with coffee or tea.
Host offered advice about where to eat in the evening and booked it for us. He has obtained discounts at several places. We were very satisfied with the recommendations for our 2 night stay.

Breakfast was varied and generous. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. One of my favourite things was to sit outside at the bistro table to eat breakfast and enjoy the beautiful garden.

Oh everything......location was perfect to get a local bus to bath which was 20 minutes. Also near some of the smaller villages around which were beautiful...lovely welcome clean cosy like home from home ...very private spaces that guests could use.
For travellers who enjoy beauty in the simple things, a bed and breakfast (B&B) is the perfect place for a getaway. Hosts welcome guests into their homes and provide a private room and complimentary breakfast. Bathrooms may be shared by other guests, and there is often shared space with the host.
Breakfast was excellent. The evening meal was also first rate. Hotel was quaint and charming. I will definitely book the hotel if I go to Devizes again.
Comfortable, well equipped room. Compact shower room with a non-slip paper bath mat provided. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit salad starter. Enthusiastic young staff. And Wadworth's 6X on draft.
Good location, lots of sights within 1-2 hours drive. Hotel is quaint and historic, very quirky. Bathtub and breakfast included. Nice and quiet. Large comfortable bed.
Loved the setting, felt very tucked away and private with lovely views, yet minutes away from the centre of Devizes. Great location.
Caroline is a wonderful host and she makes a very impressive breakfast.
I'm sure I'll be back at some point.
Location was perfect. Free parking outside the house, although we drove through a long stay car park with plenty of spaces. So close to other pubs and restaurants, situated right next to the shops. Room was quiet, very warm and comfortable. Becky and Luke were great hosts and very hospitable. Breakfast was just what we ordered - a simple wholesome sausage/bacon sandwich, fresh orange juice and fresh coffee. A lovely overnight stay in a lovely town.
