Agafay Luxury Camp Review
Ok I’m not sure where some of the negative reviews come from but let me start with. I HAD A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE. I initially booked three days, but after review of other guests I decided on two nights. Most of not all the staff are kind and friendly. A little language barrier, but listen to understand not respond and you’ll be fine. The alcohol drinks are reasonably priced $14 usd . They offer Shisha and I think that’s important to mention as it was part of my reason for booking. I booked through BOOKING.com and booked the half board option, including breakfast and dinner. It’s worth it. A day or so before arrival you’ll get an email for expedited check-in. I did this and it did I think cut down check-in to about 5 mins . Rooms and facilities were very clean. Noticed staff always cleaning. I was very skeptical about dinner as a lot of reviews said service was bad. I did not experience nor see slow or bad service. Both nights I was here it was pretty busy between 7:30pm and 10:00pm and everything moved promptly. The only slow service I experienced was from the pool bar at the beginning of the day. . Again the staff were very well mannered and helpful. The staff that made my stay memorable were Khalid, he is very attentive and genuine. He pays attention to eye contact, meaning he knows when you may have a request. He was my favorite. Second was Venz, he made the most perfect margaritas and answered questions with a smile. Adam was very polite with a great memory of my preferences. Ideiss really made sure dinner moved effectively and efficiently. I hope management gives these men their flowers because they really are great. I’d recommend the camp. The only complaint I have was the gravel road to the tents . It’s really rocky and hard to walk on for the distance to some of the tents in sandals.

We were there during the off season. We liked the atmosphere and the decor. We wanted to experience staying in a tent cabin in the desert. The food was good and plentiful.

Except the manager, that has been very impolite and rude, the other people have been very nice

Relaxing and serene atmosphere throughout with 360° beautiful desert views.
Pools were beautiful and not too busy (July).
Rooms were separated tents, quite private, with amazing views with a sunken Bath outside.
Breakfast was a set menu and very nice.
Tapas were particularly good.
Plenty of activities available - quad biking with our guide Toufeq was outstanding.
Lovely pool areas. Tasty breakfast. Great views - some of the desert is a bit bleak but the landscape here is lovely. There’s a sunset/sunrise peak you can walk up to with uninterrupted views. Great that there is a fridge in the room so you can bring your own food/drinks. Reception offered a buggy to transport luggage to tents. We were able to book a transfer back to Marrakech at relatively short notice on the same day, although they weren’t particularly flexible with timings.
Although everything was quite rustic, when we asked for the heater to be turned on to warm the tent, we got a warm room, and could even take a shower in the morning, in a tent, in the desert. The view of the mountains and sunset was great!
Free parking on site. Even allowed us to leave our car on site when we went on overnight desert safari.Large apartment, lots of space, everything provided. Clean, quiet. Liked that is was smoke-free.
This place is breathtaking. Considering we have lived in outback for few years, this is indeed a luxury.
Love how the tents are built overlooking the gorgeous desert. Waking up to that view is just amazing. Love the fireplace outside. There's so many beautiful touches all around.
So peaceful, even though there's many visitors the time we were there. But it was relaxing.
Amazing experience! Well worth it. Sheer expanse, silence, views and sunsets in the desert. So peaceful. Lovely private tents. Fantastic food and Moroccan music and looked after by great staff who were very friendly and could not do more for you. Really enjoyed the camel rideing and quad biking too.
It's a great experience to stay in the rocky desert. It was very hot weather but fortunately they have luxury air-conditioned tents and lovely swimming pools. They have a built-in bathtub on the veranda decking outside of each tent, which is fabulous for relaxing and looking at the deserts and mountains in the distance, even the sunset.

Amazing location, in the middle of a beautiful desert wilderness yet close to Marrakech. The staff, particularly Mohammed and his brother, were wonderful hosts. Incredible sunset, stargazing and sunrise. I would love to return.
Beautiful tents with incredible views hidden away in the agafay desert. Each tent has a lovely shower and en-suite facilities - authentic decor and comfortable beds. Best of all Mohammad and his team looked after us so well and the food was delicious - traditional tagine and one of the tastiest we have eaten in our trip. Get there in time for a sunset camel ride then have supper under the stars.
