It is very convenient if you plan to travel to Colmar or Strasbourg and catch the bus for the airport. Since travelling with local transport is free around Basel with your Basel card then everything is within access since all trams and buses start/finish at the central station. Although a little noisy due to nature of offering (to be fair, marketed towards youth) the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, lent me a phone charger, made a great coffee and had great advice for places to visit.
