United KingdomOur stay for 3 nights at the Clove Villa Kandy was excellent . The staff were all very helpful and polite. The chef cooked us wonderful Sri Lankan evening meals which we asked for. The flavours were exceptional . Our breakfast every morning was beautifully presented with fresh fruit and juices . The scrambled eggs were delicious!

He organised everything for us, was genuine interested and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is also good. And it's easy in this hotel to also meet other travellers (with families). Pool was again designed well and very refreshing. Use of recycled bottles to make vertical plant wall clever by pool. The food was excellent, and service excellent. Relaxed atmosphere . The place is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of the mountains. I liked it so much I didn’t leave during my two nights stay! We also loved the gorgeous view from the balcony - pure unspoiled nature! The area is very quiet, totally in the hills and yet a quick tuktuk away from kandy. We enjoyed a walk around the lovely neighborhood. The food was great, local sri Lankan cuisine. We got filtered water at the house so we didn't buy bottled water, which is much more sustainable. The rooms were gorgeous, comfortable and clean. The views were truly unbeatable and the balcony allows you privacy to appreciate the true beauty. The two lovely guys running the place were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our time there and the food was incredible too!
