The George is a modern boutique hotel in the centre of lively St. Julians, just 200 metres from the bus station. It includes an indoor spa and a rooftop terrace with swimming pool.

Having read so many positive reviews about The George, I am disappointed to say that it did not meet my expectations. The hotel is out-dated and old fashioned. Common areas, such as the corridors, were really unclean. There were buckets of dirty mop water and vacuums left in the hallway outside our room each day. Arm chairs and sofas scattered around the hotel and in the main lobby were particularly dirty. The hotel bar isn’t much of a bar. It is small and tucked away in the corner of the reception area with no proper seating and no one working behind it. To had to go to the reception to order. The breakfast room was being renovated, with loud drilling starting as early as 7am some mornings. As a result, there was no space in the hotel for guests to eat - we were directed down the road to another hotel with a very limited selection of food. On two of the three mornings we were there, there was a dog in the breakfast room. Staff were petting the dog and then immediately handling food, dishes and cutlery - absolutely no hand washing observed. The room again was dated. The amenities were poor. The television was poorly tuned, with very few channels and a remote control that only worked on occasion. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and black mould in the shower. It wasn’t very clean either. When we arrived, both the table and coffee dock were stained with tea and coffee. They obviously hadn’t been wiped down. The once-white arm chairs in the room again were grotty, which was really off-putting. The bed was flimsy and obviously very poor quality. On our first day at The George, a member of staff entered our room completely unannounced. They did not knock or enquire to see if anyone was there, but instead simply unlocked the door and walked straight in. When they saw we were there, they said they had the wrong room and left. The one positive about our stay at The George was the hotel staff.

Located in the heart of the island of Malta, Corinthia Palace Malta features an outdoor swimming pool, a wellness centre, gym and much more.

Super friendly and service oriented staff. 2 restaurants in hotel and both are amazing. Breakfast is of high quality. Lobby area has a nice coffeebar to get good coffee and other drinks plus some small bites. Lobby is also very nicely decorated. Hotel is well maintained. Indoor pool area is great. Unfortunately the outdoor pool was not open yet but we could use the loungebeds. Room was spacious and beds really comfortable. Area in which hotel is located is quiet but with some nice restaurants relatively nearby. We really had an amazing, relaxing stay at Corinthia palace and would definitely visit this hotel again if I would go back to Malta

Set in a 19th-century building, Casa Ellul is located in Valletta, on the island of Malta. It features unique-style accommodation decorated with original Maltese floor tiles.

Nice historical building converted into a well designed luxury hotel, staff is very friendly and the breakfast is delicious. We tried their fine dining restaurant and the food is amazing.

Inhawi is a boutique hostel based close to Balutta Bay, it's a great location! Very close to supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops and beaches. The hostel has such a great atmosphere! The bed is confy, the kitchen is good, they have a lovely swimming pool, the breakfast was nice and the view from the hostel is stunning! For those working remotely the wifi is very stable. I liked that things were clean and organised and everyone was friendly. I definitely recommend the place!

It is very obvious that this is a brand new hotel with great services and the place to be! Lovely modern design and decor and great facilities, most of which are normally found in five star hotels. The staff are all helpful and the food prices in the ground floor restaurant are very reasonable (they have another restaurant on the 12th (or 13th?) floor. Breakfast was fine and enhanced by some really super views from the restaurant balcony. They also have a whole wellness floor which I unfortunately did not have time to utilize.

This palazzo is a designer's dream. Every corner had aesthetic appeal, and our host was fantastic. The place and bedrooms have electronic locks making the rooms easily accessible 24/7 without being dependant on the host The location could not be more perfect since it is situated in the heart of St Julians, but still the place was always very quiet.

Really Nice Interior Design: On a positive note, the interior design of the hotel is very nice. The black furnishings create a sleek and modern look that is quite appealing. Stunning Rooftop Pool: The rooftop pool is indeed stunning and offers great views. However, it’s always too crowded during the day, making it difficult to enjoy. It’s a real shame because the pool area has so much potential.

This is a great boutique hotel located within short walking distance to the sea, cafes/bars yet in a quiet area for great sleep! All staff are very friendly and welcoming, the hotel and rooms are very nicely and uniquely decorated and the rooms are big and spacious. The morning breakfast is also very good and has good variety. The suite had an amazing water view, room size and design. We did not want to stay in a big hotel. It was a boutique hotel which provided excellent service from reception, bartenders, to servers. We would definitely return. Great roof top bar and pool area with a beautiful waterfront view. It was also an excellent value.
