Ideally set in the center of Yokohama, the square hotel Yokohama Minatomirai has air-conditioned rooms, a fitness center, free WiFi and a restaurant. Fantastic hotel in a great location. As the hotel is based on the edge of the business district, the view from the room and the service were astonishing: we arrived before check-in and left our luggage at the reception, and when we returned, the luggage was already delivered to our rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, with plenty of amenities and free water/coffee/tea. The price for our night was lower than that of other hotels, but the quality most definitely exceeded.

Overlooking Yokohama Bay, the Intercontinental features a 31st-floor Chinese restaurant and a spa with massages. Rooms have free WiFi and city or bay views. Intercontinental Yokohama Grand is one of those places that I thought I’d never go simply because it looks to good to be true. Once I booked, I was very excited to stay really close to the Park, the Minatomirai Station and just enjoy Yokohama with an amazing view from my hotel window. It was amazing. The room was perfectly cleaned, staff was helpful with everything that we needed and, again, the location is simply incredible. Everything is around you. The price isn’t inflated, in my opinion. I’ve seen hotels charge a lot more and offer a lot less.
