AustraliaThis cabin-stay exuded the perfect ambience for a visit to the Canadian Rockies. We loved our 5 nights here. Golden was a terrific base for touring in all directions: Emerald Lake to the east; Revelstoke to the west; Radium Hot Springs to the south; and Kicking Horse nearby.
Brandy was a terrific hostess. She made sure that we had everything we needed to make our visit comfortable.
We loved the fabulous views in all directions and the changing sunlight and weather each day on the mountain panorama view.

Nice breakfast area and places to sit if you want to read. Lovely view of the mountains. We have an electric car and it was nice to plug into the 110 on the outside of the building overnight for a trickle charge. Continental breakfast was fine, and I appreciated the fresh fruit. The lodge is located in a quiet area surrounded by forest just 10 min driving from golden town where there are good restaurants and bars . The rooms are so very well decorated and with the most comfortable beds. The hot tub and sauna are a plus. Heather and Bob are great hosts and make a good breakfast - lots of homemade things. Bob gave us plenty of advice for our stay - he was very easy to communicate with prior to our visit. Only downside for us was not being able to walk to a restaurant, but that won’t be an issue for most. We made use of their kitchen and lounge/dining area. The host is amazing, Kat was so helpful, provided great advice for timings to move around the area and places to have dinner. Her breakfast are a feast!! Everything you can wish for, is there and she gave us fruit to take in our walks with us. Canyon Ridge is perfectly located to visit Golden suspension bridge, Buffalo Farm and YOho National Park. We loved the hot tub and enjoying the calm and quiet of our surroundings. Cathy and Bruce were wonderful hosts and the breakfast that Cathy made was to die for. What a treat!
