Our host Jamie, of this family-owned and run hotel, was very friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English.
We had breakfast at the hotel on one occasion and it was very good. The continental breakfast had a lot of choices and the quality was exceptional.
We had brought our dog with us and this was no problem for the hotel.
Our initial room was in the converted attic of the main building. The room was very clean overall and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the room was too hot for us, even with the windows open and we were unable to sleep on our first night there, so we asked to change rooms. Jamie was very understanding an was able to move us to another room without issue.

We arrived quite late, but the staff was incredibly helpfull. They"ve let us order very late dinner even thou the kitchen was closing. The room is big and nice. Lack of AC was not a problem, as the night was cool. The food was outstanding! Breakfast is good. Delicious coffee!

Great hostal, clean and had everything we needed. Nice bar, very friendly. The owner was lovely and gave us recommendations for where to eat and a couple of nearby places to visit. Can highly recommended Ermita de San Frutos.

Justo, the owner, was really great. He was very interested in our trip on bicycles across Spain to Greece and helped with advice on the roads in the region, and stored our bikes safely overnight. The restaurant directly across the street has some of the best food we've found in all of Portugal and Spain so far! We feel rejuvenated.
