It’s very cute and modern, with all new amenities that worked very well. The location is very cute, by the (formerly inhabited) horse stables and with an apple orchard just in front :) it’s about a 10 min drive to the beach and 5 mins to nearby Beaulieu so it’s not far from walking spots, but still very quiet and secluded. We got great directions from the lovely and very accommodating host as the place was hard to find, but with the detailed description we had no problems at all! And we had breakfast supplies provided as well :)

Good facilities including a very comfortable bed. Whole place appeared to have been newly done up. Friendly staff, breakfast was great. Price was very reasonable and overall it was outstanding for the price.

Lovely, bright comfortable room, with fridge and kettle. Brilliant bathroom, with heated towel rack, night-lighted mirror, lots of hot water, great shower, and big, fluffy towels. Parking space, too!

The Retreat New Forest sits on the A30 in the New Forest at the southwest corner of Hampshire. It is in easy driving distance of the coast, lovely Christchurch, Hengisbury Head and Highcliffe specifically. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable, some with showers and some with baths. The house is set up for yoga and meditational retreats of various sorts. A good bar and restaurant is on the premises, not owned by the hotel. There is no lift. The cleaning staff and the managing staff were very pleasant, accommodating and helpful.
