The owner was very nice to me. He offered me free drining water and arranged it himself. Two times I got lost, I couldn't find my way to the guest house, since it's a bit further inside from the main road. He was very kind to come and pick me with his motorcycle. The room and toilet was newly built and clean. AC was working perfectly fine, although during night I didn't need it. The bed was comfortable and huge. He also provided me with cutleries when I needed. There's public transport available to Pollonaruwa 10 minutes walking distance from the place. Getting a Tuktuk might be a bit challenging.

Very basic accommodation but with amazing view over the lake. Exceptionally good for people interested in bird life photography. We took great pictures of pelicans, kingfishers, herons, eagles and more.

Breakfast was acceptable; The gentleman host was friendly and offered us the use of their bikes - which we didn't take up because the bikes were too tall. It was nice to have our own door and sitting area. Garden was pretty.

The staff were lovely and very welcoming. They cooked us a beautiful dinner and arrange a safari. The facilities were basic but fine for two nights. The location is off the beaten track so will need a driver or Tuktuk rather than walking.

Danesh and his family made this a fantastic stay. The breakfasts were incredible! And even getting up at 0445 hours to make sure we made it to the Tuk Tuk to make the walk up Sigiriya!

The quality of the accomodation is simply sensational. The location, view, comfort, cleanliness, breakfast, attention to detail are top notch. You can see the rock from the garden. Ashoka is the most welcoming and caring host. The breakfast on the patio was really special as monkeys and mongoose paid the visit. :) Totally recommended!

Wonderful! BOOK NOW! A beautiful homestay set within easy walking distance of the centre and yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Spotlessly clean rooms, super comfortable beds with crisp clean sheets, a lovely little garden and a super breakfast. What really makes this place is the hospitality and generosity of spirit that the owners displayed. Viraj was an absolute legend! From the moment we arrived, to driving us all over the place looking for food late at night, to sorting out a tuk tuk tour and a our taxi on to our next destination he was truly amazing!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. The room had AC, a fan and bathroom with shower. Warm water sometimes didn’t work but there was soap and toilet paper for the tourists.
