Had a great stay at La Gloria. Calm place in a remote and extremely beautiful location surrounded by greenery just in front of the lake. Great spot for sunset. The food at the restaurant is very good too, highly recommend

The BEST host family. I cannot begin to explain how amazing our stay was. The whole family was so kind and helped us book anything we needed. Every day our room is clean and the kitchen was wonderful. I cannot believe that we paid such affordable price for such a great room. This is the best place to stay in Ometepe

Beautiful views, excellent staff and we loved all the natural beauty of the property. Would stay again on my next visit to Omeptepe. The playa mangos bar and restaurant was wonderful and just a short walk away.
We ate breakfast at La Sirenita up top on their covered deck and was delicious. Loved our casita, super comfortable and we slept better than ever. Can't wait to go back.
I even had to take an online/interactive 3 hour class for continuing education, and the wifi was excellent the entire time. Sat on my deck overlooking Lake Nicaragua and had a fabulous Zoom class.

The garden/chill area was lovely, lots of places to sit and relax. The breakfast was cheap and delicious. I thought the price for a private room was very fair. The staff were kind (even though I don’t speak much Spanish)

Very relaxing, quiet and the couple who owns the place were exceptional, bringing delicious breakfast every day, fresh fruit and juices and happy to chat with me and help with my Spanish skills. I really enjoyed staying here and would book again in an instant if I come back to Ometepe.

We ended up staying here last minute when we missed the last ferry to Moyogalpa of the day and ended up taking the last ferry to San Jose. They so graciously accepted the booking request we made at 7pm from the ferry and immediately sent us instructions on how to walk there from the ferry(only 7 mins away down a sandy path). They welcomed us into a room that night saving our butts!! The hosts were so amazing and made us feel welcome, they even cooked us a meal after they were finished for dinner because nothing else was open late, which we were so grateful for!! Dinner that night and breakfast the next day was delicious! Their pups were really sweet and friendly too. They also helped us get a tuktuk to our next spot the following day. We are sooo grateful for Hostal Xilotl and are happy our mishaps led us here!!

We felt very safe. While many other travelers mentionned having many bugs in other hostels, we had very clean rooms. The common areas are beautiful!! Our breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful whatever we asked them. They even helped us to find a really good massage that came directly to the Hostel!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
It's a family-run Hostel/Homestay with very friendly owners. Super cool and very authentic, located in the jungle where you have screaming monkeys in the morning and fireflies in the evening. Amazing view over Concepción volcano. You can eat here or at Comedor Cristina 300m north fairly cheap. Tap water is drinkable. It's pretty quiet and not as frequented as other parts of the island. Showers and toilets are in the rooms, just as fans and power plugs. It's near to San Ramón waterfall and Maderas hiking trail.
Family-run business, extraordinarily friendly and helpful, beautiful location off the grid, very quiet, great view, superb (and very fresh and made from scratch) food..
I had an amazing time, all the staff were so nice, the location is beautiful! Wish I had had more time to extend my stay!
The hospitality of the hosts was really incredible. They -and their entire staff- made you feel right at home. Thanks again for making us feel this way!! The food was also amazing. Everyday the menu switched and you’ll have different options to choose from. Everything equally good. The place itself is amidst pure nature and very cool to get the gardentour where you can see all kinds of animal and plants/trees.
It was an amazing place.
Great food.
I will definitely recommend this place.
The sunset is just amazing from the tree deck by the lake.
Very quiet and isolated place just how I like.
Thanks for such a nice welcome.
The place is very open to nature which we liked a lot. Mosquitonets were good quality and doing their job, so we still felt comfortable during the night. sometimes it got a little windy, but they gave us extra blankets so not a problem. They serve very delicious food (big portions) for a good price. The family who runs the place is absolutely adorable and makes you feel so welcome. They offer cheap tours as well, we went kayaking and hiking Maderas vulcano with them and had an amazing experience.
Ms Delfa does an excellent job, with hosting, cleaning and cooking all in her capable hands
