Loved the pool with a view of the ocean. Shower was hot. Beds were comfortable. Cafe on-site is convenient - food is good, and portions are large. It's close to the port if you're taking ferries.

Friendly and helpful host and staff.
Historic, characterful building.
Great location 2 mins walk from the beach.
Very cool, quiet, spacious bedroom.
Beautiful courtyard.
Delicious breakfast.
The most relaxing hotel I've ever stayed in.
Very pleasant host, comfortable room with bathroom in a quiet part of the island. All toiletries, kettle, air conditioning. No hot water, but still comfortable in warm weather.
Very good breakfast with homemade juices.
Better to carry a torch on the way to the accommodation in the dark.
Recently completely refurbished and reopened by new owners: a Belgian couple from Brussels. Veronique and François are great hosts who know everyone on the island. They ate with me, took me to the neighbour's Eid al-Fitr and made sure I had everything I could wish for. The rooms are spacious, the courtyard is a haven of peace and quiet, breakfast is great, dinner can be arranged when you ask and the internet works. The best place to stay on Gorée, especially if you're Belgian and you feel a bit homesick.
