Providing free WiFi, private parking and a terrace, the recently renovated property of The Masons Arms, offers rooms in Newcastle under Lyme, 8.5 km from Trentham Gardens and 29 km from Alton Towers.

Great location, staff where extremely friendly and the vibes where amazing. Everything was clean and if you needed anything they were more than happy to help and give info. It was also a quiet area and when in the rooms it was nice and quiet and you couldn’t hear anyone else in there rooms. It also had a small communal kitchen which was great if you wanted to have food in your room. There was a smart TV as well and plug sockets next to the bed so you didn’t have to charge your phone on the other side of the room. Also the car park has 24hr CCTV which is good for piece of mind. All in all a great stay for the price!

Another comfortable stay in the large twin room at The Royal Oak. Well maintained room. Sumptuous carpet, characterful decor and furniture. Clean and spacious shower room. Low noise from welcoming pub downstairs until it closes, then unobtrusive high street noise in the morning.

Very clean and well maintained. Communication from Sam was first rate. Basically, 'make yourself at home'. All pre-booking information about the accommodation is available on the Booking site as well as all the great reviews which made my decision to stay easy.

    Staff and locals made me feel very welcome and at home. Spacious rooms, nice and clean, good nights sleep. Bonus fridge in the room. The pub is also great, the bar staff are lovely, perfect cider on tap after a long drive. Welcomed my dog and made a fuss of him. I would highly recommend this place if you have a dog, really hard to come by a lovely pub, somewhere to stay that also love dogs and don't charge you more for having one.

    The check in was very efficient and I was shown to my room, the room was a good size with comfortable beds and all the standard facilities. The pub was great, unfortunately I arrived late and missed the kitchen (food others were just finishing looked great) but the locals were all very friendly and the beers were good, I don't normally sit in a bar on my own when travelling because I feel out of place, not here, more than happy to sit in the bar and chat. Will stay again if in the area.

    I stayed here for one night, travelling for work. The hosts were great, the food was excellent and the bar staff were friendly, as were the locals, who made me feel very welcome. I would go out of my way to stay here again for work and look forward to returning.
