I stayed 4 nights, and it was amazing! The owner and staff are super friendly and make you feel at home. The room is also nice and clean with a hot shower. I also booked the canoe and walking safari here, and it was super nice! I saw multiple rhinos, crocodiles, and much more! I also met a lot of nice people here, which is nice when you are a solo traveller. I really recommend this place!

A recently renovated homestay located in Chitwan, Shanta Ghar A Rustic Guesthouse features a garden. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace.

Stay with welcoming and friendly family well off the beaten track. Our host arranged a safari in Chitwan for the day and we saw rhinos, elephants and many other wild animals and saw parts of Chitwan far away from the main tourist area. It wasn't very clear how to get there ... but it wasn't that hard. We left the Tourist bus at the first stop in Bharatpur (not the main stop - just ask the conductor for advice) and walked a short distance to the main bus terminal. After asking around a couple of times, we found the local bus to Madi and let the conductor know where we were staying. Then just sat until we were dropped off right outside the Guesthouse. The alternative option (and the one we wished we had taken) was to take a taxi/tuk-tuk to the Guesthouse - there is plenty of choice. This would be far quicker (the bus took 2+hours and the tuk-tuk would have been just over an hour).

Hands down the best Hotel I stayed in in Nepal during my 6 months here. Beautiful hotel, very well maintained, from rooms to gardens to XL pool. The staff were very well trained and professionals. A big shout out to all of them for providing such a great service. The hotel is a 30 min walk away from the village, on our way back one evening the locals pointed us out to some rhino's just on the other side of fence. Nice spacious rooms with modern clean bathroom, I can fully recommend staying here!

Excellent value for the price. The host family is very kind, and prepare delicious food with ingredients directly from their garden. They also organize tours of Chitwan National Park. I highly recommend.

Beautifully run family homestay. I did a one and a half day trekking with Ishwor and Bikram and enjoyed it very much, I recommend it. They are very dedicated to giving you the best experience possible. This is a homestay not a 5 star resort, here you can experience something no resort will ever be able to provide.. I loved it. The shower in, the small, bathroom is good and there is always warm water, the rooms have everything you need. Food was excellent and fresh. Thanks for an amazing stay I will not forget.

The Resort was clean, well situated and good value for money. The staff could not have been more helpful: they arranged jungle visits and a wonderful tree house stay for us. An added bonus was a delightful swimming pool which is not advertised - apparently so as not to attract noisy locals. It was good value for money

Good location, great facilities, including a swimming pool which is not on the site - they said they didn’t want to attract rowdy locals! The staff were extremely attentive and helpful in arranging a jungle safari and a fantastic stay at a tree house - all at a very reasonably price.

The staff welcomed us very warmly, providing us with tea and water right away. The Homestay is very nicely located in a quiet area, yet very close to the entrance of the national park. The staff helped with organising safaris according to our individual wishes and helped with the onwards journey. In general it was a wonderful stay and we can only recommend choosing this homestay!!
