We had a two-level, two-bed room with dinner and breakfast for about $38. It was very clean and spacious. Nice common area with a stove to dry clothes and tea and banana bread and cookies. Good food. They were really helpful when we realized one of the dogs hanging around was actually owned by the owner of the hostel we stayed at in Sigchos. They took care of him until his owner showed up.

Hostal the backpackers tiene salón de uso común, terraza, restaurante y bar en Chugchilán. We were warmly welcomed by Maria and Walter, the marvelous couple owning the hostel. Maria tries to be like a "second mama" and she truly succeeds ! We slept well, ate well and discussed well ! If we had to come back to Ecuador we would come back for sure. The rooms are quiet and there is a little rooftop terrace with a hammock, benches and table. We took a lunch box for a really affordable price and it was great : an omelette of vegetables with bread aside, prepared with loved by Maria in the morning . Fuimos acogidos muy bien por María y Walter, los maravillosos propietarios del hostal. María intenta ser una "segunda mama" y la verdad lo logra ! Hemos dormido bien, comido bien y discutido bien ! Si tuviéramos que volver a Ecuador, seguro que volveremos aquí. Las habitaciones son muy silenciosas y hay una pequeña terraza por el techo con una hamaca, unos bancos y una mesa. Hemos cogido un almuerzo para llevar por un precio muy barato y fue muy bueno : una tortilla de verduras y pan al lado, preparada con amor por la mañana por María.

El Chasqui Guest House está en Chasqui y tiene jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y wifi gratis. A cool and discreet place with an entrance at a gas station, yet surprisingly quiet and pleasant. They offer a good breakfast, and there’s an excellent restaurant just a 5-minute walk away with stunning views of the Cotopaxi volcano.

Incredibly friendly family who all go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and happy. We ate delicious food, received loads of local knowledge of places to visit, and slept very well in their comfortable beds. The shower is next level.

Hostal Sendero de Volcanes se encuentra en Latacunga y dispone de jardín, terraza, bar y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. This place is very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful. They kindly explained the activities around, we did the tour to Cotopaxi volcano and it was incredible with professional guide. I recommend this hostel, the rooms are cozy and clean, they offer laundry and restaurant service for dinner and breakfast in a beautiful commun area. Plus it is located close from the historical center and downtown.
