Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse is located in the heart of Hobart's historic Battery Point, in a beautifully renovated 19th Century mansion. Free WiFi and free parking are included.

Nice boutique feel and Anthony is helpful and friendly. Plenty of bathrooms and showers. Rooms are clean. Free onsite parking. Central location. Lots of fridge and food storage space and equipped kitchen. Bed was average comfort, but good enough and clean.

The Pickled Frog is located conveniently in the center of Hobart, and has a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar.

The hostel is in the quiet end of Collins Street but still an easy walk to the Mall and CBD. The Hobart rivulet is very close too.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

The staff are really nice and helpful, the hostel is well equipped and has a lovely atmosphere. The hostel activities are fun (we saw a platypus!) I would definitely recommend this hostel to young backpackers staying in Hobart.

Great location right in the centre of Hobart and surrounded by many city attractions and landmarks. The waterfront is just 2 blocks away from the hostel.

The property was well equipped, clean, warm and in a great location. We were in a group of 5 for a girls weekend away and there was plenty of room. It was a cheap uber to Salamanca and nice 20 min walk. Off street parking was too small for out larger hire car but we didn't have a problem finding street parking.

For those looking for a place to stay on a budget, this place is unmatched. Only a block over from the Intercity bus, and located in the Hobart CBD. Backpacker prices for a private bed and secure locker. The washing machine and drier do not require coins to operate, a welcome surprise for budget accommodation. Staff easy to deal with for accommodation changes/issues.

I tried the YHA, the Pickled frog, and this one, and it is the best hostel in Hobart in my opinion. The hostel is huge, big rooms, large common spaces. Maybe I feel like that because there was not a lot of people when I was there.

This room was amazing! While it was in a hostel it felt just like a regular hotel room but then a lot cheaper. I had just travelled a week in hostels and needed my own space and this was great. Clean room, pretty big as well and with a nice ensuite bathroom. The location was great and there was a kitchen downstairs, but I did not use it.

The hostel is great. The bed was very comfortable, the dormitory room size was decent and they provided all the facilities that you would need for a short stay. The lower bunk beds even had privacy curtains which you could pull across when sleeping and a small shelf and charging point near each bed. The location is very convenient and a short walk into Hobart city centre and close to the Salamanca market. Good value for money. I would certainly recommend this place to other travellers.
