Set in the historical city center of Bellinzona, Youth Hostel Bellinzona is just 1640 feet from The Three Castles of Bellinzona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hostel serves a buffet breakfast.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect. It is really close to the train station, and all the key attaractions in town. It's also well connected with plenty of great hiking routes. The value for money is brilliant. A quick note (but I really did not mind that, and the hotel completely fulfilled my needs and expectations): as I was travelling in November, and the season was low, it was not possible to order breakfast.

The swimming pool and leisure facilities were excellent. There was a bus from near the station to almost directly opposite the youth hostel and there are shops eg Aldi and Denner within easy walking distance.

Comfortable stay, the rooms are simple but good for the price. Suggest asking for a room that is not interconnecting so a little quieter. Staff were really friendly and although we didn’t have breakfast ( we were on bikes and on a very tight budget) they offered us a coffee before we left. Safe place to put bikes.

First time at Lugano and at this appartment. I had a lovely stay. Great location, just about 5 min walk to the lake and nearby restaurants (I had a good breakfast at Mauri food, lunch at California Bakery, also could recommend Agape). I stayed for work purpose, the congress centre is also just a few minutes walk, so very convenient. Safe building. Super clean.

Montarina is a clean, well managed low-budget hostel in the Heart of Lugano. It is located in a lovely private garden and close to the city center. Recommendable to families with younger children, young couples, singles and aging people who are still young in spirit.
