the staff are very kind - made us feel at home,
it's a nice place, there is a nice lounge - good atmosphere. Even has a piano which I thought was great ( chickened out of playing it - would have if there was no one around)

The Bunk Inn is an annex to the Loch Ness Inn ideal for accommodating family or other small groups. The furnishings are optimised for practicality & budget rather than aesthetics, but additional facilities such as a shared kitchen were useful for breakfast ahead of an early start & it was perfect for a father-and-son Great Glen Way walk.

This is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. The location is just perfect (if you like remote, rural places), it's not only right on the banks of Loch Ness, it's also very close to a hiking trail. The atmosphere is just brilliant, there are various activities every evening, like a bonfire (with music and singing), beer pong, pub quiz and other fun things. I'm a bit gutted I couldn't go for a dip in the loch, but will make sure next time I do. Because of the remote location and the activities, you easily get to know other travellers, it's got to be one of the best places to make friends. You can buy food and drinks at the reception, so even without "going back to civilisation" you can easily survive here. The breakfast is basic, but very good. The staff - most of them were volunteers - was excellent. The whole place was spotless, every one was very friendly and helpful, and you could just tell that they loved to be there. This hostel has a heart and soul like few others. It is not only great value for money, it is also great value for your time.

I like its location and proximity to services anywhere and anytime. The property and its furnishings are good, especially the bed in the rooms. The beds and their beddings are superb. good, and comfortable for the body to sleep.
The only place that's not good and needs serious improvement is the kitchen. Its space is too small compared to the number of guests that will be lodging in the hostel, untidy, and little or no kitchen wares and appliances to support the guests' stay.
The kitchen is crying for a touch and improvement, please.
Thank you.
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
Great location.
Free and safe parking.
Old World comfort - looks fantastic. Reception greeting was excellent; explaining everything we needed to know. Staff were lovely.
Both rooms were good - clean, warm (with additional heater).
Food at the restaurant was very tasy and the range of whisky was a delight. Prices were not too high.
Breakfast the next morning - buffet, with a good range of well-cooked food to compliment the cerals and fruits and yoghourts.
My stay at the backpackers' hostel was very enjoyable. It offered great value for the price. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the rooms were neat and tidy.
Very well located. The little cabin for family is really cosy, with private bathroom. We had a tv in the cabin, free wifi and even a safe.
Prior to coming to the hostel, we received all instructions how to access and get the key for self checkin and checkout
Large kitchen space and very clean too.
Stayed 2 nights, the staff was fantastic and very helpful.
I was surprised with the kitchen, big and fully equipped, certainly a bonus.
Great location with great walks opportunities.
And most importantly very nicely stocked up bar ;)
There was also nice little outside space to enjoy fresh scottish air.
Never waited for a bathroom or to use any of the facilities.
Not going to comment on comforts of the sleep as it is a hostel. The bed itself was comfortable and the sheets clean and fresh and that's what I expected.
Lovely, comfy hostel, friendly and helpful reception.
Clean, comfy beds. Great lounge and seating areas, plus lovely clean kitchen. Well-stacked bar with Ness beers and a range of whiskies.
Great location right off the Great Glen trail and a short walk from the Co-op.
Vying for best hostel on this trip!!!! Would go back and highly recommend.
Warm and comfortable. Double bed super comfy. The bunk beds were a bit hard but probably more suitable for kids 😂 Great location - short walk to supermarket and the Loch Ness Inn for dinner.
Communication from owner was excellent.
Cheap and cheerful. Bit of a cross between a motel and a backpackers. But does the job nicely and it's cheap for the area. But I did have an en suite shower room.
