I booked without really knowing what this place was, or where it was for that matter. Just wanted to find a spot that got me closer to the Shannon airport.
Turned out to be such a rejuvenating experience.
Kinda lost in the middle of nowhere, I found amazing people who are sweet, kind-hearted and who made me feel right at home.
They offered me different options for breakfast which was delicious and had a nice fire going during the evening.
If you're someone like me who's from a big city, the lack of anything around might be a bit overwhelming (ironically lol) but it was the perfect way to end my time in Ireland.
Without a car, it's a bit difficult to reach any pub but the staff was nice and gave me the # of their taxi driver (M. Peter Mooney) who came to my rescue a couple of times during my very short stay. They were also quick to reply to my messages.
If you're looking to get lost in order to find a little piece of yourself, this could be the perfect place for you!
Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
The hostel is the perfect solution to visit the Cliffs of Moher without spending a fortune! The room where my family and I stayed was perfect (for being a youth hostel). The place has a huge kitchen which can be used to prepare your meals.
Extremely quaint hostel in a breathtaking location. Seemed like a lot of backpackers and other young travelers were staying there. Right across the street from a great pub and some good restaurants. Easy to access by bus but not much within walkable distance. Staff allowed us to drop off our bags before our check in time. Room and bathroom were clean.
Parked our motorcycles on the car park and felt safe. Great location for a proper Irish night in the pub, 200 yards away. Lovely staff and breakfast. Beautifully peaceful.
This place is like Youth hostel- shared kitchen and dinig/living room. Basic facilities . But the location is excellet and staff helpfull. The main adavantage is its location on river bank at the very start of Moher cliff walk.
Central, friendly and quiet (like all of Doolin really - go there.)
Extremely cheap accommodation, perfect for the budget travellers.
