What an amazing experience staying at Haust. TLDR: Just book Haust and forget about everything you need to plan for your time at Varkala ❤️ Santosh is a beautiful host, by the second day he made me feel so much at home, I felt more connected to Varkala as a place. He will go over and above to make your stay pleasant. He's available all times for anything not just hostel affairs but anything you need in your travel. I was there for 4 nights and it was super comfortable, the property is clean, and the washrooms are clean. The location is quiet, yet close to the beach and bustling cliff areas. Best part? It's right in the center of North & South Cliff so you have access to all beaches at all times.

Loved the hostel. Really really friendly staff they’re like a family there and look after you. There weren’t many people when I was there due to it being the off season but in terms of the facilities and staff I couldn’t ask for anything more.

I had an amazing stay at Ostello during my solo trip to Varkala. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the warm and friendly hosts who went above and beyond to ensure every guest had a great experience. The ambience of the hostel was just perfect—calm, vibrant, and social, making it easy to relax and meet fellow travelers. The common areas were beautifully designed, offering cozy spaces to unwind, read, or have great conversations. The rooms and dorms were spotless, well-maintained, and had comfortable beds, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The location is just a short walk from the North Cliff, making it super convenient to access the stunning beaches, cafes, and shops while still enjoying a peaceful and relaxing stay. The hostel had a great sense of community and an overall welcoming vibe that made my trip even more memorable. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and budget-friendly stay near Varkala’s North Cliff with excellent hospitality, Ostello is the place to be. Highly recommended, and I’ll definitely be back!

This hostel is perfectly located at Varkalas north cliff right by the beach. The huge communal area provides ecerything you need and more. It invites to relax and chat and was quite clean, there's filtered water and a kitchen. The folks were very social which was perfect for me as a solo traveler. The dorms have AC and lockers for smaller backpacks.

    The best hostel I’ve stayed at throughout my whole trip of India. Had originally booked two nights, and ended up staying a week- if I had the time I would’ve stayed for a month! Great location, super helpful and friendly owners, and a really comfortable feeling The around the place. Highly recommend. Plus the hostel has recently adopted a couple of adorable puppies!

    The staff is amazing. Friendly, talkative and really helpful. There is a great atmosphere. The dorm for 8 people was quite comfy. Very tasty and quite cheap meals in a hostel restaurant. Great location if you want to be near very calm beach. There are available some board games, hammock... in general, very chill atmosphere. Thanks!

    Great location very close to the beach boulevard! Many restaurants/cafes nearby. Many yoga shalas at walking distance if you want to do drop-in classes. Budget room is very basic but all you need really: a bed, terrace and bathroom - and the price is very affordable. Hostel offers wifi, laundry possibility, free water-refill. Staff is friendly and helps with everything, eg scooter rental. They also offered room cleaning several times during our week’s stay. 😊

    This was my first solo travel. The moment I reached the hostel, I could feel the warmth. Nikhil, Vikas, Kartik are really helpful, fun and warm people. The rooms are decent and the place has a raw touch. The food made by Kumar bhaiya was yumm too! The vibe of this place is immaculate. Great location, safe for solo girl travellers. Not to mention, lots of cuddles from the cute pups, cooper & mini.
