Everyone in the hostel was super friendly and helpful while our holiday in fes. They offer a good price / quality breakfast and in case you haven’t booked the excursions, they’ll do it for you for cheap. Once we got lost in the city and Karim came pick us up. ☺️ I highly recommend this hostel.

The location was great, the facilities are homely, Hicham was very welcoming and helped to organise transports and tours. You MUST eat dinner at the Riad, the Pastilla and Cous Cous are amazing. Would recommend!

I found this hostel on booking with a high score and good reviews. I booked it, but I couldn't find it on google maps- neither by name nor by address. I contacted the hostel for a precise location on google maps. I got a location which says " fes hostel home". I didn't think too much, from a trust of booking.com I guess. I arrived in Fes medina in the evening. As you could imagine, google maps led me in a wrong way. I asked someone for the correct direction, but a kid/teenager overheard our conversation and started to follow me and offered to lead me to the hostel, I walked my way, not saying yes nor no to him. After 1min walking in dark narrow alley, I was in front of the correct door, the kid/teenager asked me for money. Being quite tired and frankly speaking also a bit of nervous, I gave him 5 MAD and he was quite disappointed and said something I didn't understand. The owner of the hostel opened the door and the kid/teenager left. I was welcomed in the hostel. With the help of translator( since I don't speak French/Arabic, and the hosts don't speak English/Spanish) , I finished the checked-in. To be fair, I got a roll of toilet paper for free, which I never got from other hostels. I witnessed the hosts helped another guest book a taxi for the next early morning. I showed them my appreciation and they said (jokingly) : make yourself at home and give us a 10 points afterwards. I said sure. ( Remember this. ) Feeling so lucky, I went upstairs to my room. Then came the problems. In the common area of the first floor, wifi doesn't work. In the room, even my mobile data stops working ( I had an e-sim, so maybe a local sim would work better, I am not sure). There is a bathroom/toilet on the first floor, full of water on the floor and on the toilet seat, and on the floor there is something like someone spit…The water taps from the shower and the handwash are leaking all the time.

Very good location. The owner is relaxed, friendly, available and very kind. Kudos to him! Our room was very big and the riad has the potential to become quite wonderful. We got scammed in another Riad in Fes which we had booked online, where the guys invented an excuse and tried to move us to another place asking for double the price. We then found this riad with very little reviews. That's because this is an historic building which has just being started as a riad for guests and it is now under renovation. The riad is not perfect yet but the owner was incredibly kind, helpful and friendly. Overall we had a nice stay.

Great location, very easy to get to the Medina. Mohamed was very kind and explained very well how to find ourselves at the Medina and it make all the difference for our experience. We had a great day and good conversations with him, turning our staying more comfortable and safe. We also scheduled a tour in the Desert with the Maison Adam and are really looking forward for that!

I was staying just one day there. It's so close to train station so is great if you arrive late. I didn't try breakfast. Wifi is very strong. Around a train station is a lot of homeless so I don't recommend stay in this place few days. But this hostel is really great and cheap compare others hotel around train station.

An excellent place for backpackers. A great young host who told us about the history of Fes, told us places to visit, offered mint tea. A traditional Riad with a traditional atmosphere, the room a little worn but part of the style. Bathroom, AC and Wifi worked well. A good breakfast service. Very good service overall. Great location with short walking distance from the blue gate. A taxi to Batha square is the best arrival option. We travelled as 2 adults + 12 yr old.

All the employees were exceptionally kind to me, they were there anytime for whatever I needed. They really cared about me and my stay. I'm wholeheartedly thankful for them. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough to have energy for the whole day. The hostel location was good to me, not far away from the medina and the neigborhood was quiet. I recommend Youth Hostel to everyone who travels to Fez :)

Best hostel I went in my trip around Morocco. The riad is really really nice and the view on the city from the rooftop is just great. Location is also great, right in the middle of the medina but still bvery quiet. Clean and very cheap, considering the amazing breakfast you get (with bread, jam, olives, cheese, tea or coffee and different pastries every day). I really enjoyed the common areas.
