Featuring a garden, terrace, restaurant and free WiFi, Landgasthof Farnsburg is located in Ormalingen, 12 miles from Roman Town of Augusta Raurica and 17 miles from Schaulager.

This one was a surprise. I didn’t realize it was so far from Basel when I booked. Probably would’ve stayed closer to the city but it was an interesting experience. You’re out in the country! There’s a working farm on the property with bison. It’s off the beaten path but beautiful with hiking trails. Our room with a view was big with comfortable bedding and a thick robe for going to the shared bathrooms. Nice patio with a view and elegant dining room. We rented a car to get there.

Located in Basel, within 1.2 miles of Badischer Bahnhof and 1.5 miles of Kunstmuseum Basel, Studios with Kitchenette has accommodations with a restaurant.

The good: The location was perfect for me. This is right near the tram stop, a grocery store, a bakery, a pharmacy, a bank, and several restaurants. The restaurant downstairs doesn’t open until 10:00 am, but the food I ate one night for dinner was delicious. There was some noise in the daytime because of construction, but at night it was very quiet as long as I shut the windows. The not so good: There are two twin beds. One was comfortable, the other was saggy and uncomfortable. The WiFi signal was weak. I could only get WiFi in the outside hallway, the bathroom and sometimes the kitchen. The WiFi never worked in the bedroom. The TV didn’t work and I suspect the remote batteries were dead. I didn’t want to watch TV that bad, and honestly was just not interested in asking for other batteries because to get help with something you have to go to the restaurant and talk with the wait staff who are busy with customers. Plus communication can be a little hard if you don’t speak German and if the person working in the restaurant doesn’t speak your language. Other: This kitchenette room was pretty basic, nothing fancy. But I just wanted a clean, quiet, decent, safe, and reasonably priced (for Switzerland) place to stay. Those needs were met. There is no daily housekeeping. I went to the grocery store across the street to get coffee pods for the coffeemaker and toilet paper since I ran out.

Great location, just a few mins walk from the train station. Room was comfortable and we enjoyed our little balcony, having dinner out there in the warm summer evening. We also took a bottle of wine up to the rooftop before dinner one night. The bed was comfy.

Great place for a pit stop. Kids loved the slide in our room. Everything clean and staff friendly. Didn’t use the kitchen facility but ordered dinner to the hotel. Perfect!

This is the perfect location, just a 5 minute walk to the Basel SBB station. The apartment was very clean, and the rooms were very comfortable. We had a lovely balcony with a table and chairs where we ate dinner and the separate rooms were nice for our group of 3.

    - Secure and convenient parking. - Very clean, comfortable and spacious room with a lovely bed. - Nice touches throughout the hotel and a well designed gym and sauna. - Delicious food - the nomad burger and pork gyozas were great for dinner and the breakfast buffet has lots of options and is really good value. Service was also excellent and staff very friendly.

We loved the architecture, the art, the ambiance. Our room was peaceful and comfortable and we loved the art work. Our dinner outside at l’Atelier was fabulous. We had a perfect buffet breakfast in your space opposite. The location was charming.

Really nice and easy room with a window to the inner yard with outside curtains. Because of the hostel a public kitchen was included and a coworking space with a cafe/restaurant. Really nice bathroom and entrance area

Good location - 2 tram stops from central train station. Spacious. Full kitchen, you can cook dinner. Bed was comfy, shower was tight but I guess that's how showers are in Europe. Price was really good, 100eur considering basel art week and the location was a good deal. Easy to find the keys, enterr the apartment directly, no contact with anyone.
