Lovely view of the golf course from the room. The super king bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. While the bathroom was a little dated, the shower had excellent water pressure. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection of fruit, yoghurts, cereals, and pastries, plus a hot buffet. You could also order freshly cooked options like avocado and poached eggs or an omelette. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The leisure facilities were a great bonus, and the sun loungers in the little garden off the pool area created a lovely space to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

The history was amazing. I loved walking around and seeing the property and the views. Amazing. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful as well.

The location was the only thing that wasn’t ideal but it was made up for by the relaxing facilities and exceptional staff.
Stepping into a hot tub and soaking in warm water is bliss. If you choose a hotel with a jacuzzi, you can do this any time you want – morning, afternoon, or evening. Some hotels offer private hot tubs, while others have shared jacuzzis, usually part of a wellness spa.
Very hot evening, two fans provided in room. Large twin room and spacious bath/shower room. Close to town centre and river. Breakfast is good. Nice coffee.
Spacious, well-furnished room with lovely bathroom.
Very helpful reception staff and excellent full English breakfast.
Lovely courtyard at the back of the hotel. The
We stayed in a lodge beside the campsite which was very well equipped with bikes and facilities for lots of outdoor games such as mini golf, basketball and goal nets.
Lodge was very large and spacious, and could easily accommodate a family of 6.
Lovely hot tub with each lodge.
We had an amazing time at The Wood Norton. The hotel had a relaxed vibe with plenty of lounges and fabulous gardens. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a beautiful room in the main house. There was a huge choice at breakfast and we had an afternoon tea which was superb!
The property was very clean and spacious with three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, all upstairs. The bed was comfy and shower good. There was a well equipped kitchen, separate dining room and lounge room and a small enclosed private yard. Parking was off street in a driveway. The property was located in a residential area 15 minutes walk from the CBD. It overlooked a large park and kids playground.
We were give a free upgrade on arrival, to a very nice and spacious suite with large bed, a large bathroom , study (?) and dressing room, in the old part of the building. This had windows on two sides of the building, so in summer can be kept a lot cooler by a through draught. Staff very friendly. Ample parking. Situation close to the old bridge in centre of town overlooking the river.
The room was well-equipped and was generously stocked with refreshment and complimentary bathroom accessories. There was plenty of space in the main building for relaxing and the garden in particular was a delight to wander round. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
