Excellent location on the riverbank next to the Charles Bridge, close to lots of restaurants and the John Lennon Wall. Our loft room was huge and very comfortable. Buffet breakfast ideal for us. Highly recommended.

Charles Bridge
This faithful friend has spanned the watery divide between the Old Town and Malá Strana for over 600 years. The stream of footsteps on the cobbles sounds out a restless beat, accompanying the myriad street musicians and performers. Bronze statues stand watch over the crowd, giving an eternal sense of grandeur to this most majestic of Prague’s bridges.

This stunning bridge is pictureseque and like something from a postcard. However, especially on the weekends, it is absolutely swarming with tourists at all hours of the day and night, and so I would recommend getting there early in the morning (on a weekday) to maximise your visit. Otherwise, it's really hard to appreciate the architecture and history, and it is very busy with tourist-based vendors.

Amazing view and the way from the Narodni museum to the bridge is wonderful by walk. You get to see and experience different shops, eateries etc. It was raining when we were there so we didn't get to stay long on the bridge itself. But worth visiting.

Beautiful fantastic historical journey across the bridge. Do some research on the statues you will see before you go. We went up to the castle first then walked down to Charles Bridge and crossing into the Old Town area.

Bustling in the afternoon, but still a wonderful walk across this amazing bridge where artists line the streets between statues of old. And the views of the city are breathtaking. Early in the day would be the least traveled times for less traffic, but any time of the day is still work the stroll.

We were so concerned about the crowds from watching travel blogs but it was fine. Leave the bridge and stroll down to the Lennon wall. It was a quiet reprieve and peaceful setting. Loved the artists set up along the bridge and bought a lovely watercolor of the city to enjoy for years to come.

Hebrew writing on the cross was a punishment for the jews for false allegations of blasphemy. Small plaque near the floor give details although the wording on English plaque is milder then the one in hebrew. City seem embarrassed of past crimes.

People are talking about Charles Bridge! Explore guest hotel reviews featuring "Charles Bridge"
The Hotel is most charming, with cute, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds and offers a basic but tasty and fresh breakfast. The location is simply ideal, right next to the Charles bridge yet on a quiet square without noise or tourist masses.
When we arrived we definitely felt this hotel was "different" , with all the suits of armour and knights around. We chose it as reviews were very good and had seen photos, so it wasn't a surprise. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast excellent. Nice stroll to Charles bridge and central Prague.
The hotel is nice, and the staff is friendly. The room was comfortable, not small, clean and with a big bathroom. The location is excellent, one square to the Charles bridge and two small squares from the Old City town, so you could reach most attractions just walking. Breakfast was amazing, with more options than I could taste.
The owner of the apartments is a very nice, charming lady. The room was very nice, clean. There was everything you needed! Perfect location, near Prague Castle, 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridge and the Old Town.
We had an amazing 3 nights stay at The Mozart Prague. The location is PERFECT, walking distance to everything you would like to see in Prague such as Charles bridge & Old Town. The staff are super nice and very helpful.
We stayed at the beautiful Full Fresco Baroque King Room, which is by far the most interesting/artistic hotel room we've ever been to. We really enjoyed it all.
One comment, the food of the room service could be improved.
Thank you
The apartment is situated in the walk distance to all Prague attractions as well as the tram and underground station. You can easily come to the Vazlav square with a lot of cafes and restaurants, it takes you up to 15 minutes to reach the Charles Bridge.
Very easy to check-in, easy to find the actual apartment location with the provided flyer. I was lucky enough to be in an apartment with a balcony that faces the square. Amazing view at night time of the towers lit up. Very close to the square and a short walk to Charles bridge. There are many cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood.
We enjoyed our stay at the Kampa annex of the U 3 Pstrosu. The apartment was on the ground floor of a building on the banks of the Vltava just below Charles Bridge, the location was excellent. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped, the breakfast (in the main hotel) was great and the people were friendly and helpful. Bear in mind that the apartment is in and old building so expect "rustic shabby chic" and embrace the history.
I / we are from Scotland and have stayed in 5 Star Glenagles and St Andrews Hotels etc. NONE of them could compare with the palatial rooms you had. They were absolutely fabulous, and wonderfully themed, the staff were courteous and knowledgeable. Due to the hotels' close locality to the Charles Bridge and river, we easily found our bearings and never felt lost. The hotel was so close to great local hostelries and restaraunts, and the streets spotless. On our return we would not even consider anywhere else to stay.

Be prepared to wander off the beaten track.
Be prepared to wander off the beaten track. There are lovely gardens in Mala Strana and around the castle which are usually very peaceful. Petrin Hill is great for walking - it is steep, but there is a great funicular railway if you don't fancy the climb. The view rom here is lovely - and also from Letna Park, by the giant metronome. Stromovka is another nice park where you won't be tripping over other tourists and the area around Vysehrad tends to be quiet too. Prague Castle opens quite early and a ticket will give you entry on 2 days. Buy your ticket early to avoid the queues and give you time to see around everything. If you are an early riser, head to Charles Bridge before 10am to avoid the crowds. May is a great time to visit Prague. It is usually sunny, the cherry blossom is out and there are fewer tourists than in the summer. Avoid July and August when it is hot and crowded if you can.

Leave the tourist areas!
Leave the tourist areas! Get away from Charles Bridge and Old Town, find a little pub tucked away. Take the tram somewhere and go wandering. If you are in Old Town, check out the Koruna cafeteria (next to Hooters) for some cheap, delicious authentic Czech cuisine. It's where the locals go when they have to be in Old Town.
