This was our third stay at the hotel and we thoroughly enjoyed the location and delicious breakfast in their beautiful courtyard. The service was excellent and this time we had a chance to have dinner in their restaurant and it was equally excellent. We will return again.
The Vatican
The world’s smallest state is also one of its most attraction-packed spots. As the center of the Catholic Church, Vatican City is full of breathtaking religious architecture and artistic treasures. Must-sees include the imposing St. Peter’s Basilica—so vast that the Statue of Liberty could fit comfortably under its dome—and the mesmerizing frescoes at the Sistine Chapel.

A beautiful place to visit and uniquely its own territory within Rome (make sure to bring your passport). I would not advise having a stroller if you plan to go inside to see the Sistine Chapel but definitely worth the trip.

This was one of the few things in Italy that we splurged on for a guide. It was worth it, not only for her knowledge but for negotiating the entry. It was mobbed at 8 a.m. we spent 2 plus hours on the tour and another 2 hours on our own, without getting nearly done with everything in the museum. It is huge. The Sistine Chapel is a silent zone. Have an audio tour with you. Rick Steve’s is great and free.

Muzeum of Vatican is magnificent, especially if you like...
Muzeum of Vatican is magnificent, especially if you like christian culture and inheritance. But if you plan to visit it with a little child, especially with a stroller, be ready to struggle a lot. You will enter without waiting in a huge queue, but there are all positive news for you. To navigate through overcrowded, narrow corridors full of stairs with a stroller is a real pain. There are almost no elevators, so you will lift a stroller with a kid by your hands only. Of course, you probably will not really enjoy the muzeum, so think twice before visiting this muzeum with a small kids and strollers. To enjoy Vatican, come alone and plan at least 3-4 uninterrupted hours for it's collections.

A truly beautiful area. Lots to see and do.
A truly beautiful area. Lots to see and do. Places to shop eat and of course the Basilica is absolutely amazing. 2025 is the best year to go because a special door has been opened which is only opened once every 25 years.

Horrible!
Horrible! We went to the Vatican to see the Sistine Chapel as we didn't buy tickets in advance to visit the basilica (the queue was huge) and we were in no state to visit the museums (I was pregnant and we had our 2.5 yo toddler and a buggy with us). No one told us that being pregnant and carrying a buggy and a toddler is definitely not a good idea as there are tens of thousands of stairs and no elevators. They simply sold us the tickets and let us go despite the fact that we clearly mentioned we only wanted to see the Sistine Chapel (not knowing the only way is by going through each and every museum). At some point, there was a shortcut that we could have used as I simply could not walk any longer, but one of the guards did not allow us to use it saying it's for groups only, despite explaining that I was pregnant and I could not walk. Staff in Rome is general was very rude.

We went there just to see the Sistine chapel.
We went there just to see the Sistine chapel. We bought the tickets and enter the Vatican but no one told us we had to walk 8Kms, crossing several galeries and some number of museums to reach the chapel. We won't return and we will advise friends about this. If they visitors on the other museums they should think about other strategies, with this one the number of tourists will fade...

Fantastic location for a trip to Rome. Very clean and lovely hotel room and nice staff. Great price also. Local area was very safe and clean with bus routes and walkable to the Vatican and central Rome
The apartment was spacious, very clean and tidy. I liked the location , it wasn’t near the city center, slightly out of Rome I’d say but very close to the Vatican which was so lovely , overall the place is definitely worth the amount paid.
This apartment is in an excellent location with the Metro right outside the door making it so easy to travel to any part of Rome. It is also a very quiet area, about 2-3 blocks from the Vatican. I had a very pleasant stay
The apartment is in a very nice and safe residential area with restaurants and shops around. It is 5 min away from metro and you can reach the Vatican in 10 min and the center area of the city in 20 min. Rafaella is an amazing host and very accommodating. Very quick to respond when you call her. The apartment is super clean and has all the essentials. I will stay in this apartment every time I go to Rome,
Lovely and comfortable apartment that provided plenty of space for three people. The location is out of the way of the hustling touristic crowd but close to the Vatican and many Italian authentic(as in the staff barely speaks English)delicious restaurants.
Costanza accommodated our early checkin request and was always available for questions and suggestions.
When we return to Rome we hope to stay at Casa Jordan again!
This apartment offers a great location about halfway between the Vatican and Colosseum. Check-in and out was simple and the owner was very attentive and helpful with some requests/questions we had. This was a great choice for a family of first time visitors to Rome.
The location of this property made it so easy to walk all over Rome! We were about 15-20 minutes from the Colosseum, around 30 minutes from the Vatican, and about 10 minutes from Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps. And the Trevi Fountain is literally right outside the door! We were not bothered by noise from this busy area at all. The beds were comfortable, this was the perfect apartment to share with our two teenaged children.
After our stay at Best Vatikan Hotel from 23rd to 28th March 2025, we have returned to our home in Istanbul as of last evening.
We had a wonderful time in Rome, exploring the Vatican, passing through Porta Santa, and walking around the city.
We hope to visit Roms again in the future.
Best regards,
Agnes and her team were awesome. They helped make our stay in Rome very pleasant. The apartment was very spacious, clean and very conveniently located close to the Vatican,
The room was so cute! It looks like they remodeled a large apartment into a miniature hotel. The location is great, only a 8 minute walk to the Vatican and surrounded by bars and hotels. Check out the Alexanderplatz Jazz Bar. The host also gave us a list off things to do and places to eat, all of which were great.
