Good location, short walk to SHIBUYA station, plenty of eating options close by. Excellent breakfast and staff.

We have been staying at the Blossom Hibiya six times during the past 7 months as a starting point for our Japan travels, and it will be the last time we did as the rooms and service quality doesn’t match up with the increasing prices any more. The hotel is located close to Shimbashi station, from where you can easily access most JR and several subway lines or just walk into Ginza. The hotel starts at the 17th floor where a lobby and a bar/restaurant awaits the visitors. Through a second elevator, you get to the actual rooms which go up to floor 27. For reasons we don’t know - we never complained or left our room in a bad state - the more often we stayed the worse our rooms became ending in a room with stones in front of the window, right next to the laundry rooms which is being used all night and the station noises being so loud we could barely sleep. Mind you for over 300 bucks a night. Talking about things getting worse, the staff at the reception seems to have changed as well. During our first stay they welcomed us warmly, took our luggage and put it into our room, guiding us there and explaining the room. During our last stay, all staff members had cameras attached (no clue why but it gives a creepy feeling), they handed us the baggages in the lobby together with our room keys and wished us a nice stay. They weren’t unfriendly but far away from the warm and welcoming feeling you can get nearly anywhere in Japan. Again this would be fine in the budget hotel right next door with half the price but not for the given room charges. Breakfast is good but heavily overpriced given the amount of food - we have seen way better for less during our travels through Japan. The standard rooms are clean but on the tiny side if you don’t book the corner rooms or the suites. If you open one of your baggages you have to put it on the bed. There are barely any spaces to store jackets or clothes in the room apart from a tiny wardrobe.
