We had a wonderful time in Tokyo, and this Koko Hotel was a great place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing.
We booked one of the larger suites: my wife and I slept in the bedroom with two twin beds, and my daughter slept on one of the tatami/futon floor beds. We were all very comfortable. The mattresses are a little firm, but that was perfect for us.
The suite includes a fantastic shower/bathtub room. Great water pressure and temperature. The toilet is separate and has a built-in handwashing sink (though no soap for whatever reason; we got that at the local grocery). The bathroom includes a combo washer/dryer; the dryer usually requires an additional 2-3 hr cycle to actually get clothes dry, but we were thankful for it.
There’s also a galley kitchen complete with refrigerator, freezer, stove, rice cooker, toaster oven, kettle, and microwave. We made good use of it and frequently picked up food from the grocery for our dinners.
The HVAC is a bit confusing, but it is fully customizable. We were able to make the room plenty cold enough at night and warm on the couple days where it was frigid outside.
Location-wise, it’s close enough to the main road in Asakusa (~3 blocks) to be convenient to lots of food and shopping options, including the Life grocery store / pharmacy, but far enough to be a much quieter space. We never had problems with city noise.
The staff is very helpful. Not all of them speak English, but Google Translate is more than ample to break the conversation barrier.
