I usually stay in Ikebukuro when I come to Japan, but the place I normally stay at was full.
I was shown this place for a reasonable and fair price on booking.com. Everything is mostly shared, it's got a washer, dryer, shared bathrooms, two showers, AC units, and even wifi. I booked the smallest possible room, and it is small, but you get what you pay for, and I honestly didn't mind. There's a small TV, a foldable table, a small mirror, and a little dresser to place your belongings when it gets backed up. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything going on, but if that doesn't bother you, then this could be your next place to stay. If it does bother you, they do offer free earplugs upon arrival. Another very small thing too is that the wifi can be inconsistent at times, and when you shower, you have to constantly turn the shower off as there is a limit. I personally didn't mind since I had a pocket wifi and I try and limit my water usage, but just a small little thing to consider.
The staff was also very accommodating, spoke very good English, and they even accepted packages when I ordered mail. It's got a computer, a fairly spacious recreational area, and I met some pretty friendly people during my 2-3 week stay in this hotel. Something that I do appreciate is that they give you a passcode outside of business hours so that you can stay out late and go out unlike some places with strict curfews.
I'd recommend this for budget travelers who don't mind sharing bathrooms and showers with other travelers.
Thanks again for making my stay so memorable. I definitely would like to book with you guys again.

Considering the amount I paid when I added for an extra fee for my guest ( almost $ 400 bucks) another person the next day asked additional fee. I don’t mind paying but breakfast wasn’t even included.
