The place itself is beautiful & the staff was super nice and helpful.
Food was decent, though a bit overpriced (~30k per dish).
For transportation, a mototaxi to town costs 35k, while a colectivo 4WD is 30k, but you have to wait until it fills up.

We had the most perfect stay at Terramia Estate. The location was ideal for a total “switch-off” with the best sunset views. The coffee tour was a highlight (we learnt a lot!) as well as the trip to the waterfall - definitely recommend. Our host was so friendly, hospitable, and generous with his knowledge and time. We could not recommend it more as a totally unique stay!

Wonderful stay in the jungle. We did a two hour hike up to the property which was really nice, but you can take the moto taxis. The place itself was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. It's in a nature reserve which you can walk around and visit.

If you're not going to stay in Tayrona National Park Colinas de Calabazo is one of the best options. The hosue is just 400 m away from the entrance to the park. Buses between Santa Marta and Palomino stops here. There are some shops (only basic products and slightly higher prices) and restaurants.
The owener speaks Spanish and English, and he's a very friendly and helpful person.
The house itself is located 200 m from the main road so it's calm and quite (the only noises are dogs barking at night and birds chirping in the morning). There are two or three guests rooms and the owner lives here as well. There's a small swimming pool (to cool down, not to swim) and rooftop terrace with tables and hammock - good place to rest after hiking.
We got the only room on the 1st floor which was quite large and comfortable, the same with bathroom. Everytwhere was really clean.
There's no kitchen available, but a breakfast is served every morning. Also, we asked for an electric kettle and we got one with two cups.
Providing mountain views, Wachakyta Ecolodge in Calabazo provides accommodation, a garden, a private beach area, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Free WiFi is provided.

Simply the most wonderful place. Every single last thing was perfect. The staff made you feel special and the design really makes you feel like you’re part of the nature there. Excellent food at very reasonable prices. The walk up to the viewpoint is not for the faint hearted!
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The location is incredible. As soon as you step into the ecolodge you feel relaxed. Staff is helpfull. Do know that getting up here is a bit of a challenge but definitely worth it.
This is a beautifully equipped lodge set above Minca in a tranquil location. Everything about it was designed so that we could enjoy the natural light and surrounding environment. The air conditioning was very efficient and there was plenty of hot water. We could walk to a cafe and chocolate finca and also a small waterfall for bathing. The owners are very helpful and provided breakfast from their bird observatory which was a lovely 5 min walk away. If you want peace and a bit of luxury living, this is the place.
Sol de Minca was a tranquil eco lodge with lovely staff, a relaxing vibe and beautiful facilites. They care about being eco friendly, the rooms are lovely and also comfortable. Everyone is very helpful for information and advice! Everything I had from the menu was delicious and it is a 20 min walk or short moto taxi ride to Minca town.
A great eco lodge in a magnificent setting. Great facilities, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Completely recommended.
We had an amazing 2-night stay at the mundo nuevo lodge. The room was comfortable and the staff were lovely. We ate most meals there and they were all delicious. There's so much to do/see, from bird watching to coffee tours to hiking to waterfalls. The views/sunsets were wonderful. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia.
Stunning location. I spent 3 nights in one of the luxury lodges, with a balcony, which had the most fantastic views. The staff are lovely, friendly & helpful. The food is really good too. Loved the pool. Ensuite had hot water :) About 10km from Minca village, far enough away to escape the noise. Complete peace & tranquility. I loved the outside fire in the evenings. This place is very special.
