The lodge was immaculately clean, beautiful bed linen and very comfortable beds. We liked that the second bedroom had two full sized single beds. The lodge was modern and beautifully decorated, very cosy and relaxing. It was very well equipped, especially the kitchen all matching crockery and cutlery and utensils. There was parking right next to the lodge for 2 cars. The location on the park was excellent, a 2 min walk to the marina in one direction and 2 min walk to reception and the pool in the other. So quick and easy for driving on and off the park. The beck flows right past the lodge, lots of ducks pottering around. We also saw squirrels, rabbits and deer wandering around on the park. The team provided excellent communication, nothing was too much trouble and they responded very quickly. Highly recommend this lodge, we can't wait to return.

AVOID at all costs!
Lake District Lodge Holidays!
Stay in the Lakes Ltd!
The host especially Julie! and the company are nothing but rude scam artists.
Where to start…
The short getaway was for my husbands 30th birthday and the first little holiday for my 9 month old baby.
When approaching the lodge internally I was massively disappointed. The £700 I had paid for a three day break for a special occasion and the lodge looked tired, old and in desperate need of some TLC and general update.
But thought not to worry Windermere is beautiful so this should make up for this…
The outside woodwork of the lodge itself and decking is in need of a paint, very weathered and mismatch paintwork…the hot tub situated on the decking was also very dated and half the jets did not work when fired up.
When entering the lodge there was an instant smell of damp, all the windows were open in the lodge so I felt maybe it had been vacant a while maybe some heating on should help?!
The heating you cannot alter it will boost for a little while but then knock off on its own , so gathered it was on its own timer which wasn’t ideal with a baby in our company and a cold leather sofa to sit on.. the little heating we managed to get on in the lodge didn’t seem to make a difference to the smell it was noticeable everytime we returned back into the lodge.
The lodge internally was nothing special and displaying posters of all the rules and regulations; the best one by far is, only open the hot tub halfway if only two of you were to use it!! I mean that must be very enjoyable, There are far better lodges out there for less money, or you could pay that little bit more in Windermere and get something amazing which now I really wish I did!! mismatch kitchen cupboards, no bath only a small shower cubicle which had no pressure.
A fire on the wall that did not work? the tv was temperamental and lost signal a lot of the time.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Beautiful surroundings, nature walks and interest.
Old world feel, old hunting lodge, plenty of history
Great breakfast.
