It was a distance but very enjoyable. The room had everything we needed and the shower was the best we had on our trip! Orange juice, warm croissants and bread, cereal, fruit and the most delicious yoghurt jars! The lodge was in a great location - walking distance to the castle and pubs! The host Mel and her family have designed it beautifully, so much attention to detail not only in design but for guests comfort too. Everything you might need from a coffee machine, milk frother (might now need to invest in one too), washing machine and dyer to Netflix!!! Home from home... & better. Our room was tucked under the eaves and was pretty, well appointed, spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite bathroom. Our breakfast was brought to our room in a picnic basket with a generous and good choice of items. I loved the picnic basket - charming touch. Liam was very helpful and gave us good advice on what to see, where to go and how to catch live local music - a real treat as we found out later live music wasn't so easy to find.Guest review byJanetYoung couple
