Set on the banks of the Okavango River, Shametu River Lodge offers views of the Popa Falls and is 4 mi from Divundu. Free private parking is available on site.

The staff is fantastic, seems genuinely happy to work here went well beyond the normal level of care. One of us was not feeling well and the manager on duty without hesitation led us by car to the nearby private doctor 10 minutes away. That evening the staff also very kindly brought the meal to the room so the ill person could rest. Beside the staff, the grounds are very beautiful, the restaurant has *excellent* food and the bar area is amazing. We also did a boat trip which was very nice.

These tents feature all feature verandas with views of the Okavango River. Each tent includes wooden flooring and a wardrobe. They also have a mosquito net and a bathroom.

Location was awesome, right on the river. You could almost touch the hippos. There we’re constantly animals to view grazing across the river.

The location. Manfred our safari guide was very polite, down to earth and very informative. He went out of his way to offer us the best hours finding lots of animals. The breakfast was nice but really expensive 250 NAD per person!!!

Shametu lodge was our door opener lodge into the Caprivi and we did not regret. We had a very friendly stay and enjoyed our sundowner tour on the river and the gamedrive. Compared with other lodges there was no dinner buffet but a la carte and it was tasty every evening.

Such a wonderful place! We loved everything about Kuvira. Very nice and kind reception by Veronica, breathtaking views on the river Cubango from the bar while spotting some hippos. Next to the restaurant, they set up a campfire where the guests could drink another glass of wine. We would book this lodge anytime afain without any doubt. It's highly recommendable if travelling to the Caprivi Strip.

The lodge was nice and the path under the trees very original. The sundowner cruise with the stop at the water falls was well organized : we saw crocodiles, hypos and local birds.

This lodge is located at the Popa falls. Great views on the small waterfalls. Every cabin has its own deck with a lot of privacy. The food was excellent with nice wines for a reasonable price. They are taking good care of you.

New, spotless clean lodge in perfect location. Great food and helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Could not be better. Try to keep the characteristics of the lodge despite expanding.

Staff was super friendly and was taking perfect care of us. Dinner was served in a beautiful setting with river view and candle light. Beds were comfortable, shower was working well. We took a boat trip with Manfred which we really enjoyed. I read reviews about the lodge being a whole construction site. That's just not true. Yes they are building a new big restaurant. But we weren't disturbed by it at all. And they have a smaller lovely restaurant next to the river for the time being.

Shametu lodge review The views from the lodges on the riverside were spectacular. The lodges were comfortable and touches such as the mosquito nets, the hot water bottles and chocolates on the beds was a really lovely touch. It was a brilliant location-very close to the National parks. We would highly recommend the sunset cruise. The guide was excellent and again the attention to detail to ensure a truly pleasurable experience was exceptional. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was ever too much!
