We loved staying at the Tongariro Crossing Lodge, the staff were so friendly, we really enjoyed the cooked breakfasts. They booked the shuttles for the Alpine Crossing which all worked out well.

the bed is so big that it's hard to go around it while it's easy blow something with the elbow when near the kitchen countertop
not noticed there's bathroom for campervans just next door leaning the very same building, whose door is frequently slammed even in the middle of the night.
even though the david's cares is tricky to reach the door

Absolutely stunning views of the mountains, sunrise and moonrise.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Tekoa lodge was a such as cozy place to stay for a couple of nights. It was a perfect place to come back to after going on hikes and had all the amenities needed to make it a relaxing stay. David, the owner, was very accomodating and incredibly helpful.
I was really expecting that its an ensuite one. Coz we normally pick the one with ensuite . It just happens that they dont have ensuite rooms in the lodge but everything was good.
Clean and some room fragrance could have been better if the lodge administration will take care about
