The cabin was rustic but comfortable. Kitchen had full stove and fridge and basic dishes and pots. The location was ideal; quiet but close enough to services and a short drive to Anza Borrego. The bar just down the hill was wonderful too; friendly and cozy, with live music and food on the weekend (Josie's Hideout). My cabin had a fun wood stove as well as regular heat.
I highly recommend if you're looking for a Backcountry retreat.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Whenever I go to Julian, I always try to stay at the Lodge. I really like the location and the staff--Mr. Jeff is the best! He always has time to make you feel like the most important guest! I like how the rooms are very clean and that there is staff always available willing to assist.
This is a wonderful, serene lodge in a remote area. The lodge was well decorated with a Nepolese/meditation theme. There was a large meditation room. The living/library/breakfast area was a cozy and quiet place to read. There is plenty of great hiking, fishing and a state park with a waterfall nearby. The jacuzzi was an extra benefit. The lodge is extremely well priced and we enjoyed a 4 day get-away for less than $1000! There are also spa services available!
My family traveled to Tucker Peak Lodge for a weekend getaway to Julian. We absolutely loved the property. We stayed in the family suite: Mountain View, and it was perfect. The beautiful kitchen, stocked and ready for us to make breakfast, was absolutely wonderful. We definitely wished we were staying longer and will absolutely return.
I absolutely loved by stay at Julian Lodge. Jeff at the front desk is an absolute GEM! So friendly and kind and laid back. The room was precious! I loved it! Bathtub was fantastic for a hot bath on a chilly fall night. The parking is so convenient. They are dog friendly and the location to Main Street is the best! I would come back again in a heart beat!
You do not get back country lake views like this, from a has it all spa resort, any where in San Diego County. Period. Can't wait to get back to Quite Mind Lodge when its snowing.
The Julian lodge is the only place I'll stay in Julian. The staff is amazing, perfect location for walking shopping, just a really nice place.
