Sadly it was just a short overnight stay. But what an unexpected tranquil gem. Such a sense of peace. The only plus about my planned 4:40am departure was I got to see the magnificent stars. My early departure was accommodated by the friendly and engaging host and the communal lounge was the perfect place to pour my travel coffee. I nearly took the gorgeous resident cat home with me. Will definitely be back to soak up the stillness for longer next time.

I love the lodge for it's cottage charm, and lovely restaurant. Our room was the same price as before, but not the same room. I liked that the aircon worked and that there were extra blankets. it was very cold. The breakfast is also very nice.

The staff were friendly and professional. They went out of their way to attend to our every need and welcomed us with lovely warm fires throught the Lodge including in our bedrooms. The beds were eceptionally comfortable and the size of the rooms was fabulous.

The Lodge is conveniently located close enough to the N3, yet it does not feel as though you are anywhere near a highway.

The cottages were large, well equipped and very comfortable. The outside area was lovely, such wonderful views. We ate at the lodge instead of self catering and the food was very good - breakfast, lunch and dinner. The surroundings and the lodge are lovely, a perfect place to relax for a few days.

The staff were so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating and made us feel welcome. The breakfast and the supper were excellent. Once at the lodge, it was beautiful. It is quite remote, one can't pop out for a drink or a snack. The restaurant has a beautiful setting although the front stoep needs TLC.
