Breakfast was a bit of a disaster, first morning took over 1hour 15 minutes for our breakfast to arrive Second morning was much better.

Loved the personal touch provided by Judith, which included thoughtful extras in the chalet. One could quite easily sit on the terrace and not move a muscle - quiet, great views, amenities at your fingertips. Wish we could have stayed longer. Wildlife is abundant and easy to reach on the farm roads. They even provided a rescue service when we were stuck in soft sand (our fault)!

    We stayed for 4 nights at "The Lodge", an amazing historic family home that takes you back in time 100 years. Beautifully furnished with antiques and animal skin rugs. Enjoyed the fragrance of Mansfield Private Reserve's signature linen spray, moisturizer and body wash. The surrounding wildlife and birds were wonderful. . . herds of Impala, Zebra, Wildebeest and a few Blesbock were frequently very nearby. Kingfishers, Horn bills, Hoopoes, Starlings etc. flitted through the trees. A Magical Experience in every way.

    Even though the place it's not satisfactory at all, the owner was very friendly and kind. She apologized for the condition of the lodge, , explained that they have recently bought the place. I hope they will improve it quickly.

    Exceptional view of the Indian Ocean from the lodge. Suite very spacious, comfortable, private and ocean views from shower, bedroom and deck. Imaginative cuisine.
