It has a restaurant and bar and free internet access.... What a hidden treasure of a hotel! The breakfast alone was amazing!! Hot buffet with thick bacon sausage and eggs! Also had a seperate buffet with kiwi, apples, toast, & cereal. Great coffee and great value! They also have a shuttle from the ferry to the hotel which was nice since the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the terminal!

Loved my stay at Port Aran House and would definitely book again next time. Kevin is very friendly and helpful, and full of info about the island and what to do (I've been to the islands a fair few times before, but we still had some nice chats). The fresh baked goods and selection of fruit for breakfast was fab. Nice that there's a lounge, kitchen (with fridge, oven and microwave) and dining area that is accessible to guests at all times. The place is tastefully decorated and cosy. Joe Watty's about 500 metres away for good pub food and music, and Kilronan centre at about 1 km. No problem to drop off bags early. The only noise is from the house and the weather (and this is not the kind of place that attracts or encourages a party crowd).

The kitchen is fully equipped, so if you would like to cook a meal, it is definitely possible. However, the pub, Joe Watty’s is just at the end of the lane if you prefer to go for a pint or a meal. I loved that this facility had a washer/dryer so I was able to get some washing done. Very helpful and thoughtful. I also loved the full kitchen, even though we didn’t get a chance to cook, because I was able to wash and sanitize our water bottles. The host had prepared a binder filled with helpful tips about the property as well as several pages of information of what to do/see on the island.

Overlooking its own beach, Ard Einne House Bed & Breakfast provides en suite accommodations with views of the Galway and Clare coastlines. The location was good with great views and the hostess was very helpful and served up an excellent breakfast.
