We loved the secret doors and the private access to the viewing platform of the tower. The welcome tea and sweets were the best ones we had on the trip. Staff were absolutely incredible. We had checked out, we were waiting at the elevator and it started to rain. A staff came running with an umbrella for us.

Staff was so helpful and nice. I wish we had stayed more than one night. Just delightful.

I like the atmosphere of the hotel. It is a bit old but it has charm and character. If you are big fan of antique look and feel of hotel, you will love this place. Plus, the location is actually pretty good, really close to Okazaki park and Okazaki castle. In addition to it, the hotel is close to 2 local train; Aichi loop line and Meitetsu line.

Also the interior is quite good, with a rather large lobby and free breakfast, and the room is equipped with more things than I needed. EXCELLENT LOCATION - few blocks away from shopping malls so I was able to go shopping, go back to the hotel to drop off my bags, take a little rest, then go shop again. There are also a lot of dining options (i.e. Yamachan) and convenience store (7-11 and Family Mart) nearby. SPACIOUS ROOM - it was my first time staying at APA hotel but I had stayed at other budget hotels before. I would say this is the most spacious room I've stayed in. I was able to leave my medium size luggage open on the floor and still have a lot of space to move around. AMENITIES - I also quite enjoyed using the Yukata provided. Coffee/tea and toiletries are replenished everyday.

The location is excellent. It would be great if there are maps or more information to help traveler to navigate to the next building (which transfer floors connect which buildings) and where the locations of Meitetsu, Shinkansen, JR and subway lines (red vs. yellow lines). I have stayed at Marriott Associa before and have a vague idea about the Nagoya station area and still find it not very easy to find places (of course last time in Nagoya was a couple of years ago so don’t remember too much). Staff was also very helpful and services are great.

We also were able to book our day trip tickets to legoland, which was super helpful. There's a public onsen for both men and women segregated away from each other.
