Atmane welcomes us in Foum Zguid from where we enter into the desert. The ride to the Auberge is very beautiful, we make several stops at an oasis, a house of a nomad woman and the Iriki lake which has been filled with water again after years of drought, unbelievable that nature can fill such a large lake in such a short time, very impressive. The auberge offers a fantastic view, good food a very nice atmosphere, in the evening music is made around the campfire, very relaxed and chill. The next day we visit a Tuareg village we see how the families live here and how they provide the village with water from the oasis. We travel further through the varied landscape see dromedaries, and different animals, arrive at a hospitable nomad family for lunch and a nice siesta, what a meeting! A little further on we visit a nomad school, where the children receive lessons in a tent. In the afternoon we arrive at the large sand dunes, particularly beautiful, what a different world when you are standing between the dunes, so phenomenal! The next day we drive back, relaxed by another beautiful route, Atmane stops at various places to show us fossils and tells us about the nature and life in the desert. Thank you very much for the great experience, it was a beautiful meeting and a very warm welcome. We looking forward to a next trip where we travel through the desert with dromedaries for a few days.

Great breakfasts, marvelous lunches and perfect dinners - best Tajine we've had in Morroco. Great place in the middle of the dunes. Amazing crazy drive with 4x4 across changing landscape. Experiencing meet of nomads in the dessert. Adventurous camel trekking. Water to wash in the camp although you're in the dessert! Mustapha is very clear about prices before the journey and the prices are very fair in my eyes ... We spend two nights in the camp, both evening under the clear starry sky near camp fire talking with local guys about everything ... To sum up, the best travel experience you can enjoy during stay in Morocco.

Riad Assia Foum Zguid ofrece alojamiento con aire acondicionado en Foum Zguid. Este alojamiento, que tiene cajero automático, también ofrece restaurante y terraza. Aziz and his wife, Khadija, and the rest of the staff were wonderful, welcoming, and fun. He took us on a tour of the nearby ruins and the Centreville. It was our friends' 27th anniversary and Aziz and his family threw a surprise party. Khadija baked a delicious cake and they decorated the salon for music and dancing. We really enjoyed dancing with them! I cannot over emphasize how welcomed we were - it was the pinnacle of Moroccan hospitality. There was strong WiFi in the common patio/dining room which was lovely and offered a moonlight view. Dinner was a delicious lemon chicken tajin with Soupe Harare. The rooms were spacious and clean but ours was a little too warm because the windows did not open to the outdoors. We hope to return someday. Thank you, Aziz!!!
