El Mangroove is on Playa Panama in Papagayo Bay and features an outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi. This modern, secluded hotel features a complimentary on-site fitness center.

The location was scenic and beautiful on the bay. The breakfast buffet was very good. The lunch at the Tiki restaurant was also solid. Dinner at Mokoko was not great and also over priced. The rooms were nice except it didn't make a ton of sense to have the sitting room unairconditioned given the extreme heat midday. It reduced the overall size of the usable room space. The coffee tasting was super fun and informative. We loved that. The staff was good not great. We came here after the Springs in Arenal, and there the staff went out of their way to give so much hospitality. Checking in outside is a little rough mid-day with the extreme heat. The resort fees are quite high. The gym was so-so. The view wasn't good, and the equipment was lacking. It is odd that the adults only pool is the central pool. It was constantly dirty with leaves, though I do think they tried to clean it. The sunscreen and bugspray for guests to use is such a nice touch, but it was often out and not replenished. Service at the restaurants (esp Mokoko) was slow at times).

Escape to a tropical paradise where golden sands invite you to linger under shady palms and the warm, blue Pacific Ocean beckons you to dove in and explore.

The facility is very nice. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The rooms were very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The food was very good with the exception of dinner. We both had fish and unfortunately, it was served. The fish was served cold aside from that everything was very good

Located in Papagayo, Guanacaste, a 2-minute walk from Culebra Beach, Planet Hollywood Costa Rica, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort has accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free...

It's too expensive for what it offers. The infrastructure is great, but what it offers does not match the value. I suggest working more in quality service than quantity or reducing the price. Did not like the small beach area. Food was just ok, shows ok, and service at the pool extremely slow. Thank you!

This luxury all-inclusive resort and spa is set on Playa Conchal Beach in Costa Rica's North-Pacific Riviera, 15 minutes' drive from Tamarindo Beach.

The food left a lot to be desired. The first restaurant we ate at with our family was Spirula (the Italian restaurant). The temperature inside the restaurant was 85 degrees. It was so hot that we asked if there was anything to do to make it cooler. They told us they “turned it down” but it never changed. By the time we got our food almost 2 hours later, no one could eat because we were all sick at our stomach from no air moving and we had a crying baby that we had to keep getting up and trying to move to a cooler location. The manager there could not have cared less, and my husband asked to speak with the general manager at some point during the stay, (which never happened), because the manager at Spirula was so hateful. And the food wasn’t even good (how can you mess up Italian). Nothing done to try to make it right. The rest of the restaurants were just ok, nothing great. But for the all-inclusive price I would say go to Sandals, where at least the food is decent. There is only one breakfast place if you travel with children, so prepare yourself for that as well. There really isn’t much else to enjoy about all-inclusive there besides food and alcohol, so they need to do better in that regard. Additionally, you can’t really enjoy the beaches. We walked down one day and it was nothing but a sea of vendors and was crowded with some strange looking tents and like nothing I had ever seen on a beach before, so we just spent the time at the pool instead. The beach is not private and I understand allowing locals to set up places to make money, but it was so overwhelming that you honestly can’t enjoy the ocean at all. We typically travel well (Four Seasons, etc) but the all-inclusive just makes things so easy when traveling with family (our young adult children) so that they can just relax and enjoy. But I can say with all certainty that I would never go back to that resort.

We loved every part of our stay here! The views were incredible, staff was amazing and friendly, very attentive, particularly would love to mention the service from Jordan at the inside bar. The food was so good, so much variety to choose from. We loved that there was a gym and the choice to join some activities. The beach was beautiful and easy to walk to. We never had an issue getting drinks or food when we wanted. I would love to return here one day, it was a great place to visit for our first all inclusive experience.

Clean amenities, great friendly staff, the kids club had activities for littles, the shows at night were good, food was as expected for such a big resort, not too bad quality except for one restaurant which was the Italian you had to reserve anyways.
