We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. United Arab EmiratesThe property and staff are amazing! Very clean and organized with easy access to pool and beach and activities for kids. The only inconvenience was dinner - the main buffet was not great during the busy period and restaurant booking was impossible even though I tried 10 mins after it opened.

PortugalRixos staff is really their best asset. The hotel is a bit old and there is several areas that need update/ urgent renovations. The kids club for small children is not properly cleaned (old dirty carpet) and the outdoor area had a big pit on the floor that is an accident waiting to happen. The pool needs more sun beds and shaded area. Main restaurant was great and we loved that opened at 18:00 as we were traveling with a toddler but it seems it was only because of Ramadan. I would recommend to keep it at 18:00

United Arab EmiratesThere is just a few minor things the management need to look into to improve the overall experience. Booking the restaurants on the second night is a very difficult. At 1pm on second day every restaurant showed fully booked. After speaking to the manager of Toro Loco (such a nice man) he said he could accommodate us at 8pm. We arrived for dinner at the 'fully booked' restaurant to find it was less than 50% full and remained like that for the 2 hours we sat there. Looking at the other restaurants they also were not operating at full capacity. So clearly the booking process via the QR code is flawed and people are booking but not attending the bookings leaving other guests to miss out. There is a large amount of entertainment going on through the day and what occurs is the noise of it all cross over each other and makes it not very relaxing. For example at the adults only pool you are in the middle of 3 events all at once, 3 people on microphones and 3 different sets of music all blasting over each other. Its endless noise all day. Either they need to be staggered better or reduce the mic volume. but it gets pretty over stimulating and hectic. Lastly there is advertised an 'adult' beach, 'adult' pool and the Arela bar listed as 'adult' yet there was no discipline to this and there was kids in each all the time. The resort has so many incredible events and areas for kids so it would be nice to allow these areas to be kids free for adults to enjoy some peace and quiet. These are all minor but do need to be addressed especially the restaurant issue.
Nice hotel for an all inclusive package. Room sea view was great. Room and bathroom were very large. Bed was super comfortable too. Drinks options for the all Inc was great. I was surprised how many options there was. Food at the Turquoise restaurant was better for lunch but poor for dinner i thought. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they really made the stay so enjoyable. Loved having pool and beach options to choose from to relax at. Food at Toro Loco restaurant was very good, one of the best steaks ive ever had. Shisa was very good although very expensive i thought. Overall great stay.

United KingdomThe juice bar not being open as early as the main bar - we really wanted to get our toddler a juice from there but it was closed in the morning :( - but this is the only thing.
This was our first UAE staycay since moving to Dubai as a family and we were thoroughly spoilt in terms of the customer service and the hotel room. We stayed on International Women's Day for our birthdays and on arrival were told that we had been upgraded from a sea view room to a villa which we were super thrilled about. The villas were sat on the beach front which meant the most beautiful views. The staff had thought of everything by providing us with a fruit bowl and both of us recieved birthday cakes. We were also treated to the option to dine at one of the A La Carte restaurants for the night rather than the main buffet restaurant (only had a one night stay). We chose Toro Loco (steakhouse) and had a lovely evening meal there. The facilities are amazing and our little girl absolutely loved the room, the swimming pools, the beach and all of the attention the staff gave her. We will 100% be back and will definitely stay for longer next time as we really felt like we relaxed.

United KingdomDear Rixos Ras Al Khaimah Team, We wanted to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for making our stay so special. Your kindness, warmth, and exceptional service truly went above and beyond, especially in taking care of our little one, Siya. The staff in the turquoise restaurant were outstanding. Any request for our 9 month old baby was met without any issues. From the thoughtful gestures to the extra attention in ensuring her comfort, every moment was made even more memorable because of your hospitality. It’s not often that one finds such a dedicated and caring team, and we sincerely appreciate all that you did for us. The guest relations were also amazing. We had forgotten a “9” candle and they went and sourced it for us aswell as helping with reservations and being accommodating for having a baby. Here is the names of some of the staff that made our trip so special: Ayu Meliani - Waitress Danielle - Waitress Sajed - Waiter Islam - Waiter Farouq - Waiter Mohena - Waitress Laaiqah - Waitress Monisha - Waitress Cecillia - Guest relations Thank you once again for making our experience so wonderful — we look forward to returning soon! With warm regards, Henal, Yatin & Siya

United Arab EmiratesOnly criticism is the size of the gym, the hotel is very large and deserves a better equipped gym particularly more weight machines.
We’ve stopped at the Rixos in Abu Dhabi and Bab Al Bahr which were both great but this stay was by far our favourite, the staff and facilities were excellent and we particularly loved the themed restaurants for both the food and service we received. Our room was extremely spacious and we did not want to leave.

Lovely staycation spot! We were looking for an all inclusive and had been to most in Dubai. This resort was definitely more refined! We absolutely loved every minute! Staff was exceptional and the food was amazing!

United Arab EmiratesRestaurants for dinner are totally impossible to book through the provided link. There is a catch there. Restaurants are not working at it's full capacity, management is restricting the booking. We tried booking dinner venue for our 20th anniversary and failed through the system, approached the guest relationship manager and were told that everything is booked. We were ought to have dinner in a crammed buffet on our 20th Anniversary night. Later when we walked along the beach we found that all those supposedly "overbooked" restaurants were more than half empty. We asked the restaurant manager and they said it's booked. We stood there for more than 15 minutes to wait for supposed people to arrive but it remained empty. After that the manager started apologizing and offered us a seat but what's the point when we already ate. This was in both restaurants. Management is cheating with booking system saving cost and cramming people into buffet but advertising amazing restaurants that are standing empty for nothing just for the facade. This is very disappointing.
Everything was great about the hotel, the pools, the beach, villa, entertainment. Team overall have done fantastic job on this project

United Arab EmiratesWe enjoyed our stay even though the weather was cloudy and rainy. The staff were great as the weather meant a lot of people were indoors on the second day but they still looked after us. The adult pool was quiet and the lifeguard was very personable. The entertainment was good in the evening as well. The buffet was large and a great choice of foods. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back again

United KingdomFood - Being vegetarian and not eating egg/fish/meat we found this very difficult initially (not something we have ever experienced in DUBAI). Most dishes were catered to meat eaters and we found very minimal choice in the main Buffet or even the 4/5 other A La Carte restaurants/Bars (Orient, Toro Loco, Solo, Olive). I had to complain to a manager who then spoke to restaurant staff and escalated up the chain to ensure the catering team were aware of our requirements, they then used to make us specific food everyday which made the stay more enjoyable (although you don't expect to have to think and spend time trying to agree as a family what you want to eat everyday, you kind of want to switch off on holiday and just be given a good choice). The difference here is that you cant just order anything you want from the likes of Kareem/local supermarkets like in Dubai, so you have to make it work with what the hotel have. The rooms are clean but as per many reviews you can see by the many reviews, they need updating to be a true Rixos premium. We had booked a family sea view but paid for an upgrade to a top floor room (848) by the beach, much quieter and away from all the noise, beach seems much cleaner and without as many shells. The shower door opens onto the toilet, this seems to be the case for all the rooms as we saw a ground floor room with a living room also and noted the same issue. Toiletries are L'Occtaine and good coffee, mini bar in the room *although limited). Cleaning Staff were very good with Bal doing a superb job and leaving towels folded as animal shapes. AC seems bit dated but i assume the refresh will bring everything up to scratch.
This is the first time we stayed at a Rixos and in RAK. We usually stay at Jumeriah, Marriot, Sofitel, Taj hotels and have done so many times in Dubai so have something to compare to. Firstly, the staff are amazing, special shout out to: Dillip - waiter at the Turquoise Restaurant Rughbir - Concierge / Buggy Jerry - Concierge / Buggy Amar S - Restaurant manger Gemma - Turquoise Bar Apshara - Dome Lounge Fatima - Manager on Duty Jay/ Jenny - (cant remember the name but was a manager) The Staff are what makes this place at the moment, they are welcoming and genuinely happy to help and go above and beyond. This used to be a Hilton 6 months ago and you can see signs of age/ tiredness in the hotel but you can see improvements are slowly being made (multiple workmen sanding, painting , fixing thing during out stay). The facilities are amazing, huge stretch of natural coastline, our kids love the pools, and even though there were 7 to choose from, they opted to play on the beach and have fun in the crystal clear water, something they never usually do. Lots of fish around, jelly fish, smaller sea slugs, crabs; diversity you expect in a natural coastline. Lots of birds and alot of black crows! Rixy club is amazing, lots of activities for kids throughout the day along with adult shows in the evenings on a main stage - this does get loud and if you do have rooms by the main pool/ stage, and sleep relatively early, you WILL be disturbed (music generally finishes at 10/10.30pm but bars are open) All in All this is a very good resort, about 1.5hours from Dubai Airport (allow at least 2 for the return journey because of Terrible traffic always going back into Dubai), the town is small with 2 ok malls. This is marked on booking.com as an Ultra Lux resort, per discussions with the staff, that is the aim (like Rixos on the Palm, Dubai) but this will take some time to get there so expect a very good 5 star resort.
