Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

South AfricaEverything was great, the room was beautiful and comfortable. Location is good, of course it is not centeally located but it is known at the booking. Still, it is close to metro and water transport (to cross the creek to go to Old Town). Also very close to the airport, only 10 minutes drive. Breakfast is great, especially humus, which was very tasty, fresh bakery, too. Room service was fast and great quality. Staff was overall very attentive. There were no robes and slippers in the room, but it was not a big thing, and I never had a chance to ask about it at reception. Overall, it is very good quality for this price.

KenyaWe checked in at 11.00pm we didn’t have any AED with us as we had just arrived from Turkey. The receptionist could not check us in despite us pledging with him to take dollars and when we change money the following dat we could pay with AED. He refused and we had to walk at night looking for a forex bureau to change money. That was not good and we were quite tired. It was second time there and we didn’t feel nice about it.

United KingdomGreat location, fair price. Clean and very comfortable. Only downside was on one of the days (I stayed 5 nights) hotel lost water all of a sudden- very inconvenient as I was just about to head for a shower. According to management, it was 'maintenance'. If maintenance, then a heads up would have been nice. However if it was a sudden breakdown then I think fair enough as that can happen anywhere. The issue lasted for only 30 minutes or so therefore I am maybe being a little fussy but still felt it worthwhile to mention. The hotel however exceeded my expectations completely as I know it's an old property. However everything about if was 5* no doubt about it specially the staff. Keep it up!
