Overall it was great, food options were good but the French restaurant reunion wasn’t the most inviting ambience, seemed more like a living room area with too much light and not enough restaurant feel to it, the Polynesian restaurant will be a welcome addition for sure next month.

Pool and beach are amazing. Plenty of space so you can find a quiet spot when you want to. Really liked the cigar lounge/cocktail bar. Most hotels have an average bar serving average drinks at night but this was a proper cocktail lounge feel and the drinks were top level.

They were a little late to do the housekeeping for our rooms. Had to call them to do it. Apart from that nothing negative to speak about.

Only 2 minor things - calling reception and waiting for the phone to be answered needs much improvement. `its takes a long time for the phone to be picked up and when requiring certain services, i.e engineering I had to call several times before anyone arrived. 2ndly the. food and the coffee in the restaurant was 'Luke warm' as best. `not hot enough and difficult to get a coffee as the order frequently gets forgotten. we also ordered a `kunafa @ Aed 45/ that was burnt and rather than the waiter remove it from the bill, he just mentioned to us that he would 'let the chef know'. whilst this is good for future customers, it doesn't help me. `restaurant staff need more training.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at sofitel Al hamra Beach Resort, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed.the food was amazing. I would recommend dining here for anyone who appreciates great food. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience!

The pool bar food was really poor quality and service. We had to wait a long time for service, and the food quality was something you would expect from a really low-end cafe. However, the food from the main restaurants was great.

The only thing that could be improved is the soundproofing in the rooms, which is not great.

Large, clean and comfortable room. Very nice staff, helpful and wecolming. Great amenities (pool, fitness center, etc.). Good restaurants and bars. I really appreciated the fact that the music is discreet around the pool and bars, whereas it is often very noisy in most hotels in this category. It's easier to relax.

Nothing. If I had to name one thing, it might be location. A lot of constructions is going on in the area, although there is not disturbance. But a lot will change in the area, as the first Casino in the Middle-East is being build opposite the hotel (water side) and that will attract many new visitors to this area.

We loved everything in this hotel. Even though the hotel is located next to a grandeur hotel, and we visited the next door hotel, I would definitely recommend this hotel. When entering the lobby, a very inviting lobby draws you in. The colours, the furniture, the welcoming personnel. Everything was outstanding. Personnel in the hotel deserves an extra mention. They are very welcoming, entertaining, never too formal or stiff, and nothing is too much. Big shout out to the team. Especially considering the hotel just opened its doors. The rooms are spacious, spotless clean, great beds (although some might find it too soft, but we like it), nice balcony (we were located in the main building), and a convenient, clean bathroom. The hotel has great heated swimming pools, a fun waterpark area for the kids, some games outside, a fun kids’ club with super friendly staff. Also the beach is a nice place to spend time. Everywhere enough chairs and beds near the swimming pool. We are very experienced travellers and stayed in the best hotels in the world (Burj Al Arab, Atlantis, Raffles, Mandarin Oriental, etc), but this hotel is in our favorites list.

Food options was less compared to the name and stature of Sofitel.. and indian food was not available but chef made it on request which was ok except the daal which was good . You should add more facility like cycle or some beach games .. didn’t see any games played as mentioned in the paper kept in the room

A bit of noise (temporary) due to some repair works around the pool- nothing too disruptive. We still enjoyed our day quite a lot.

The pools are very well thought through and laid out. The lifeguards were very attentive and friendly. The people at the reception were amazingly nice and kind, making sure we got a nice welcome after a long drive at night. Both the breakfast and dinner at East were very nice.

The children water play area needs more attention as some big kids misuse the slides in a way can hurt the younger children. Some parents need to be more responsible!
