The hotel is situated right in the middle of numerous shops and restaurants and just across the road from Jumeirah Beach. We upgraded to the Opera Suite upon arrival as it was our honeymoon. The suite on the 32nd floor was very luxurious and comfortable with a view to die for. The bed was very comfortable with lovely cool sheets and pillows. Having a jacuzzi bath in the room was a bonus.The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and the staff were so polite and friendly. Getting a free Eid Fireworks display from the balcony on the last night was amazing .The hotel also provided a beach bag, towel, umbrella and beach mat with a headrest for the beach, which was a nice touch. The pool area was very clean and tidy with great views from the pool but it's way too small for a hotel of that size. The only downside to the hotel was the food. It was plentiful with a lot of options but I was expecting a higher standard of food at the buffet, with it being a five star hotel. We only did breakfast, lunch and dinner once and ate out the rest of the time.

The location is fantastic. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Room and bed very comfortable. Pool quite small however, the beach is only across the road and beach bar to left. We will be back.

sofitel JBR has an amazing location - it’s on the JBR promenade, 1 min away from the beach, with great restaurants in walking distance. Views from the hotel are mind blowing The property is very welcoming and luxurious. the best part is their staff - in each and every department the staff did a remarkable job - abhijeet, Ragi, mustafa at the entrance - security staff - mobin, Samantha and others at the front desk - the Indian managers at the breakfast restaurant - tirath from housekeeping The breakfast spread is also great and the pool area with the beach view is good

the only thing we found a little difficult was the lack of sunbeds around the pool, given how many guests that are staying at this place, there are just not enough and quite often people were waiting for a space, which definitely doesn't help when people reserve beds with their towels all day! also didn't really love how the staff asked us to rate and review the hotel in front of them... found this to be awkward and i actually have scored less because of this, i really believe in honest reviews and don't think it's right to ask guests for high scores.

the location of the property was absolutely perfect, everything within only a few minutes walk. the room itself was so lovely, very spacious, with a bath, sofa and a perfect view of JBR. we were very lucky and the staff allowed us to check in early on the day of arrival which meant we could shower and take a nap after a long night of travel. the breakfast buffet was also great with lots of amazing options! would definitely recommend this hotel and we would book again if ever in dubai
