Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

There was no one there when I arrived and no one replied on WhatsApp. I stayed in the living room from 7am to 11am waiting for something to happen when I actually had messaged the owner days before to say I would arrive early and if I could do early check in. Fortunately the lady working there appeared and allowed me to take a bed before check in time around midday! Very kind !
Very clean, cozy and cheap. Perfect for a long layover in Abu Dhabi.

Wonderful place and wonderful caring host. Everything was so clean and all installations new and in perfect condition, .big living room to rest, free water...I also loved the location, direct bus to the airport and so mamy cute little shops and. Restaurants around. Thank you so much, Ahmet Will happily come back

It’s spacious, great location. The hosts are fabulous and couldn’t do enough to ensure I was well looked after. They go above and beyond! Great people would recommend them to anyone.

Rooms are quite small. Whole hostel is actually a one flat.
Super staff, really nice guys help you with everything. You can buy everything you need around. Stay here if you travel on budget.

Such a nice hostel located a bit outside the city center. The place is very clean and easy to reach by bus. The owner is very friendly and make you feel at home. Highly suggested if you are looking for a nice no frills place to spend couple of nights in abu dhabi. Thank you again!

Not enough days off to spend more time here.
One of my best hostel experiences yet! The hosts are kind and amazing, had a great time, and can't recommend them enough! The rooms are exactly right, there's AC, the sheets are extreeemely smooth and comfy. Location wise, it's around 1h away from main attractions. However, you find everything you need nearby and there are plenty of cabs/ buses taking you where you need to go. From the European perspective, you'll find the mattresses a bit hard and the wet toilets, well, wet. But it's normal the further East you go, so do not expect these aspects to change elsewhere. (Saw a lot of reviews mentioning these things as a minus point, though they're a normal part of the traveling experience.)

I didn't know that the hostel is in a tiny apartment. Perhaps that should be mentioned up front so people can set their expectations right. Everything else was on point!
Excellent hosts - helped me get dinner, got me coffee in the morning without asking, and helped me book a cab to the airport at 5 in the morning. They didn't even let me pay for the dinner and coffee. I also felt very safe as a solo woman there amongst all other men. Thanks Ahmed and Rashid!! I'll be back :)
