How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

No complaints.
Did not have breakfast due to early business appointments.All in all my nights stay met my expectations based on friends experiences with this motel.Will be back when travelling to Mackay.

Showerstall has a curtain that sticks to your butt leaving you only 30cm to shower in, unless you want to be wrapped like a mummy... Sew some washers on the curtain bottoms to weigh them down please!!! Dont drop your soap...If you bend over, the shower curtain wants to have your babies. Gross when you know it's touched every other tenants butt too, and it sure isn't getting washed between visits. Safer to shower with the curtain half open, but water splashing becomes a problem then. No soap holder or shelf in the shower. Property provides wall mount soap. Byo if you like cake soap. If you cook: only one saucepan(med)and one frypan (lg) but also has large electric frypan which is a great alternative for larger meals More than one fork would've been great, I should've op shopped some for you. For a 'sleeps 3 room', should be 3 plates, bowls, cutlery etc. On holiday, I don't want to wash after every use.
One hotplate did not work(electric 2-plate), so they gave me a new one! How awesome! Super friendly staff that left you alone. Good size room and kitchenette. Aircon straight over the super comfy bed. Lovely. Good firm mattress in number 14. Good pillows. Had great sleeps! Smart TV. Had a 4-pack electric socket bedside! Hooray! Loved it. Probably not for the fussy, but who wants a fussy teant anyway!!... you can't whinge for the price and location!! Well done!

I think that the office opening and closing hours on the door should be changed to when staff are actually in the office.

The hotel is situated at a busy intersection and so the traffic noise was louder than expected.

Beds were rock hard and very uncomfortable. I had a long drive the next day which was made harder due to lack of sleep. Smokers' area was not lit up for nighttime smokers.
Room and facilities were very clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly. It was positioned well on the main road. Had a well-equipped cooking facility with an electric frypan and portable hotplates.

The pool was not at all inviting and looked as though it is rarely used & needed cleaning. The couch in the room was filthy.
The staff on arrival were lovely & helpful in recommending a great place within walking distance for dinner. The room including bathroom & toilet were clean with the exception of some dubious looking marks on the couch which we did not use because of. We all commented in how comfortable the beds were 👌

Not much. Fir what we wanted it was fine.
Nice owner Wayne, gave good advice. Room clean & comfy. No issues at all. Pool very relaxing after a long drive.
