Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The downstairs (kitchen/sitting room area) needs some serious renovations. It’s pretty dirty and worn down. Lots of stray people roaming around the place that are clearly not guests as well which is a little concerning. I wouldn’t go down to the common room at night anyway. My partner went down one evening and saw a man sitting there in the dark alone!
Very central. The rooms were very clean and had a tv. The toilet facilities were modern and clean.

I was in a 2 bed dorm and shared with a male. It wasn't really an issue for me, but I found it surprising. Double check before you arrive if this might worry you.

Window shade didn't block morning light very well, and a lot of noise from people talking loudly in the carpark at the back. Also, difficult to cook often because of too many people in the shared kitchen.

The location is perfect, the rooms were just ok but need to put an extra level of cleanliness. Floors were dirty as, bins not changed and walkways smelled like dead rat

The kitchen and common area are underground which means no light and didn’t make us wanna stay there.
Close to the station and possibility to store the luggages for free.

Multiple amenities "out of order", some mould showing in showers. Bathroom could be better cleaned. Bedroom had a damp odour.

Water supply for Bathroom/toilet for level 1 was weak.
I dont know if there is a free breakfast included although the kitchen is open the whole time and the basement is huge , entertainment room has so much space for all.

Kitchen facilities weren’t cleanest, but hostel doing everything they can to enforce tidying. Not much room for food storage as lots of long term residents. Laundry room needed exact change (3x $2 coins) and not the tidiest.
Comfortable beds. Affordable - you get what you pay for. Good transport links.

Messy guests in common areas. Under my bed was not vacuumed before I arrived or during my 6 night stay. There were several ear plugs and other rubbish.
Central location with large kitchen, dining and lounge. Reading room (but why have TV screen?); covered area for laundry.

the kitchen was so dirty, really disgusting. in general a lot of thinks didn‘t work in that hostel, every second sink or whatever was out of order. we wanted to do our laundry, they have two. one of them was full of water so we used the other. then we wanted to use the dryer. one was out of order, the second dryer was full of water. we had to carry all our clothes to a laundry nearby to dry our clothes…
the location is great, just in the city centre. we had a private room. the room was good, clean and comfortable. the toilets and showers were very clean👍🏼

The dorm rooms were pretty small considering there were two bunk beds and not much room to walk around and not much room for luggage.
It was close to where i needed to go early the next morning to start my bus tour.
